TRANSCRIPT
MOUNT TOUBKAL ASCENTThe aim of this trek is to summit Jebel Toubkal which at 4,167m is the highest peak in North
Africa. Jebel Toubkal National Park is the oldest and largest national park in Morocco, established in 1948 and covering 500,000 hectares. Bounded by mountains on all sides, these
stark volcanic peaks provide a fantastic adventure playground for trekkers. Although the Toubkal ascent isn’t technically difficult, it is still a major challenge due to Toubkal’s
notoriously extreme climate and its long, steep slopes of brooding, deep-brown, red and almost black volcanic scree.
