The Marvell PXA320 @ 806 MHz processor, large memory footprint and Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.x operating system delivers blazing performance for the most demanding applications. The MC9500 Series passes Motorola’s stringent mechanical design tests for stress and endurance; meets and exceeds applicable MIL-STD and IEC specifications for drop, tumble and sealing; and can survive multiple 6 ft./1.8m drops across the entire operating temperature range. It delivers dependable performance, even after 2,000 consecutive 3.2 ft./1m tumbles (4,000 hits) in Motorola’s tumble drum. With IP67 environmental sealing, the MC9500 Series is not only dust-tight, but can withstand immersion in water. The patented Monocoque housing replaces the typical two-piece clamshell design, with a new ‘unibody’ enclosure. Intelligent Battery Management The MC9500 Series has s a rechargeable Lithium Ion 4800 mAh battery @ 3.7V, which provides information indicators on the battery itself. This allows users to see the remaining charge level and determine if the battery is healthy enough to hold a full charge, last a full shift, or has reached its end of life.

Hardware Designed for “Hard Wear”

The MC9500 Series is an exceptionally versatile and rugged handheld. This large screen, easy-to-read device offers a full 53-keypad; complies with increased safety/environmental standards; and delivers the familiar functionality of a Microsoft® Windows Mobile with the convenience of tactile, key-based data entry. Providing Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) connectivity and utilizing O’Neil’s Motorola® award-winning RSMobile software, the MC9500 Series is now connected from anywhere, not just via a “Wi-Fi” hotspot. The software runs over GSM networks and enables instant communications with record center staff, working in remote areas. Information is captured, moved, managed and accessed seamlessly in real-time. As a result, mobile users can communicate directly with O’Neil’s RS-SQL® database to perform activities such as look-ups and instant updates; downloading/uploading pick lists and work orders; creating route operations assignments; uploading truck, work order and delivery validations. Large, Vibrant, Color LCD

The MC9500 Series backlight illuminates the sharp, easy-to-read LCD in dimly lit areas, such as the record center warehouse. The LCD contrast is also adjustable, making it more readable in different lighting conditions and at many viewing angles. A keyboard and touch-screen provide multiple modes of data entry, to ensure maximum efficiency.

Designed for Intensive Use and Abuse

The MC9500 Series is the first mobile computer built on Motorola’s Mobility Platform Architecture 2.0.

Intelligent Battery Management

The MC9500 Series has s a rechargeable Lithium Ion 4800 mAh battery @ 3.7V, which provides information indicators on the battery itself. This allows users to see the remaining charge level and determine if the battery is healthy enough to hold a full charge, last a full shift, or has reached its end of life.

Large Memory Capacity Slot

The MC9500 Series supports a large amount of memory (256 MB RAM and 1GB Flash) and offers a user-accessible card slot (up to 32GB), developed for disaster recovery. A mini RS-SQL database can be loaded into the handheld and stored on a flash memory card (removable storage). Should the handheld ever become damaged/cease to function, the data collected could easily be retrieved from the memory card and loaded into another handheld, with no data lost. This feature also facilitates memory upgrades. O’Neil Software includes a flash memory card FREE.

Comprehensive Wireless Connectivity

The MC9500 Series offers comprehensive wireless connectivity — 3.5G wireless WAN using GSM or HSDPA (MC9596 only) 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN and Bluetooth®. This type of connectivity enables the handheld to deliver data where and when it’s needed, enhancing productivity. Access points, which support radio communications, allow users to send and receive scanned information via their handheld. And multiple users can communicate at the same time through a single Access Point at distances of 100 feet or greater. This means no lines waiting to send or receive data, increasing labor efficiency.

Linear & 2-Dimensional (2-D) Scanning

The MC9500 Series comes with the traditional 1D laser barcode reader, or optionally the newer imager scanner that reads not only traditional linear, but also 2-D barcodes. Users can scan a single 2-D barcode to validate numerous items, instead of scanning each item individually, saving time.
