El Campeonato del Mundo de MotoGP ya est en marcha, en un ao que sin duda se presenta cargado de emociones.

La expectacin es mxima en las tres categoras. Tendremos la oportunidad de presenciar un maravilloso espectculo deportivo con los mejores pilotos en cada Gran Premio,

como tantas veces ha sucedido a lo largo de la historia del campeonato, y en especial el pasado ao. Tanto en MotoGP como en Moto3, el ttulo se decidi en la ltima carrera en

Valencia, y la tensin se mantuvo hasta el final de cada evento.El ao 2013 ser recordado como un punto de referencia muy especial. Despus de conseguir dos ttulos mundiales (uno en 125cc y uno en Moto2 ), el espaol Marc Mrquez se mud a MotoGP a finales de 2012, encontrndose inmediatamente a gusto a los mandos de la potente Honda RC213V. Durante toda la temporada disfrutamos de grandes peleas entre Mrquez, su compaero de equipo Dani Pedrosa y el piloto de Yamaha Jorge Lorenzo. En Valencia, Marc Mrquez se convirti en el

Campen del Mundo ms joven de la historia en MotoGP/500cc (batiendo el rcord establecido por Freddie Spencer en 1983)

y se convirti en el segundo debutante en la historia de los Grandes Premios en ser campen del mundo en su primer ao en la categora reina. El primero fue Kenny Roberts en 1978 ...Como ha sucedido en los ltimos aos, estoy convencido de que este ao veremos unas carreras realmente fantsticas

en todas las categoras, con luchas cerradas en las pistas, no slo por la victoria, sino tambin para el resto de posiciones.

En nombre de la FIM, quisiera dar la bienvenida a todas las partes implicadas en la organizacin del

Campeonato del Mundo de MotoGP, el promotor Dorna, los pilotos, los equipos, los fabricantes, los circuitos y los oficiales, y darles las gracias de todo corazn por su arduo trabajo. Y por supuesto, todo este trabajo

The 2014 MotoGP World Championship is underway and without doubt this year will bring more great excitement. Expectations remain high for all three classes. We shall have the opportunity to watch a wonderful sporting show from our best riders at every Grand Prix, as has been the case so many times in the history of this Championship, and particularly last year. In the MotoGP and Moto3 classes, the title was won at the very last Grand Prix in Valencia, and the tension was sustained until the very end of each race.The year 2013 will be remembered as a very special benchmark. After two world titles (one in the 125cc class GP and one in Moto2), Spanish rider Marc Marquez moved up to MotoGP at the end of 2012 after his Moto2 title, and was immediately at ease on the powerful RC213V Honda. We enjoyed great fights between Marquez, his team mate Dani Pedrosa and Yamahas Jorge Lorenzo throughout the season. At Valencia Marc Marquez became the youngest ever MotoGP/500cc GP World Champion (beating the record established by Freddie Spencer in 1983) and became the second rookie in Grand Prix history to be World Champion in his first year in the class. The first one was Kenny Roberts in 1978As in recent years, I am convinced that we shall see really fantastic racing throughout this season in all the Grand Prix classes, with close fights on the tracks, not only for victory but for all positions. On behalf of the FIM, I would like to greet all the parties involved in Road Racing Grand Prix, the promoter Dorna, the riders, the teams, the manufacturers, the circuits and the officials, and thank them heartily for their hard work. And of course, all this work is done for you, the motorcycle fan, sports fan, TV viewer - in two words: our spectators!

Por quinto ao consecutivo nuestra Comunidad Autnoma se convertir por unos das, con la celebracin del Gran

Premio de Aragn, en la capital mundial del motociclismo. Nos preparamos para vivir la pasin desbordada que trae hasta nuestra tierra el mundial de MotoGP, la cita ms esperada del calendario de MotorLand Aragn. Un recinto deportivo que, pese a su corta vida, ha contribuido enormemente, con su entusiasmo y buen hacer organizativo, a difundir

el nombre de Aragn ms all de nuestras fronteras.

La cita, que rene a los mejores pilotos del mundo, llega adems con los espaoles brindando fabulosas actuaciones

en las tres categoras y luchando por el campeonato. Con ellos, y el calor de nuestra aficin acompandoles en cada curva, la emocin estar asegurada. Como Presidenta de Aragn, es un orgullo que nuestra regin sea escenario

de un acontecimiento deportivo de esta naturaleza.

Con el desembarco del mundial de MotoGP, los ojos del mundo entero estarn puestos, una vez ms, en todos

nosotros. Con una media superior a los 100.000 asistentes al circuito en cada edicin, y una audiencia global de 337 millones de espectadores en ms de 200 pases, el Gran

Premio de Aragn supone un extraordinario escaparate para la Comunidad. Una gran ventana para mostrar, a travs de

la pasin por el motor, nuestros ms preciados tesoros.

Como nuestras gentes, que aguardan con los brazos abiertos la llegada de miles de aficionados de todo el globo. La expectacin que levanta la visita del mundial de MotoGP en el Bajo Aragn es el mejor reflejo de la importancia que en esta tierra tiene el mundo del motor. Consideradas por derecho una tradicin, las carreras son para los bajoaragoneses un acontecimiento que trasciende ms all de lo deportivo. As lo sienten y as lo transmiten. El ambiente festivo y multicultural que invadir el Bajo Aragn ser, por tanto, otro de los atractivos estos das. Viviremos una autntica fiesta que girar alrededor del motociclismo, pero que tambin abrir a muchos la puerta para descubrir nuestra fantstica tierra. Repsol Honda Team

Pedrosa es uno de los pilotos ms exitosos en la categora reina que nunca ha

ganado el ttulo de MotoGP. El barcelons es un ganador de carreras y visitante

regular del podio en cada temporada desde que dio el salto a la categora reina en

2006. En el pasado, su talento slo se ha visto eclipsado por su fragilidad fsica,

pero el hombre del Repsol Honda Team tiene todos los atributos necesarios para

encarar los mximos retos cuando est en forma. El ltimo ejemplo se vio en Brno,

siendo el nico piloto de la parrilla capaz de romper la demoledora racha de triunfos

de su compaero de equipo Marc Mrquez

Pedrosa is one of the most successful riders in the premier class never to have

won the MotoGP title having been a race winner and regular podium finisher

every year since stepping up to the top level in 2006. In the past his talent has only

ever been overshadowed by his fragility, but the Repsol Honda Team man has all the

attributes needed to challenge when fit. He proved his talent yet again by becoming

the first rider other than his colleague Marc Marquez to win in 2014, with

victory at Brno.

Marc Mrquez hizo historia en 2013 al convertirse en el campen del mundo

ms joven de la categora reina y en el primer debutante que consegua la corona

de la mxima cilindrada desde que Kenny Roberts lo hiciera en 1978. Mrquez

ha ganado el ttulo mundial en las tres categoras en los ltimos cuatro aos y su

emocionante estilo de pilotaje, combinado con su carismtica personalidad, le

ha convertido en uno de los pilotos ms populares de la parrilla. Este ao parece

lanzado a la renovacin del ttulo de MotoGP, tras una arrollador inicio de

temporada en el que ha encadenado diez victorias de manera consecutiva.

Marc Marquez made history in 2013 by becoming the youngest ever premier

a partir de mitad de temporada, visitando regularmente el podio y confiando en

sumar una victoria antes de finalizar la temporada.

A double MotoGP World Champion, Lorenzos consistency over his career

in the premier class has been notable. In defending his 2010 and 2012 MotoGP

titles he finished as runner-up on both occasions, although a difficult start to the

2014 campaign has left him with a sizeable points deficit to the championship

leader. Lorenzos form has improved midseason with three successive podiums but

he wants to return to regular race victories.

Despus de un exitoso ao con el Tech3, equipo satlite de Yamaha, en 2012,

After a successful year with the satellite Yamaha Tech 3 team in 2012, Dovi

joined the Ducati team for the 2013 season and continues with the Italian factory

Crutchlow desembarc en MotoGP en 2011 para debutar con el equipo

Monster Yamaha Tech3. Fue un alentador primer curso, ya que consigui el ttulo

de Mejor Debutante del Ao. El piloto britnico continu progresando de forma

impresionante en los dos aos siguientes: sum sus primeros podios con el

equipo Tech3 y se asent como uno de los referentes de la cilindrada. En 2014 se

ha estrenado como piloto del Ducati Team, fichado por la fbrica italiana en una

campaa de renovacin planteada con el objetivo de recuperar su protagonismo

en la categora reina. Su adaptacin a la GP14 ha sido ms difcil de lo esperado y

su vinculacin con la fbrica italiana acabar a final de esta temporada, ya que en

2015 correr con Honda en el equipo CWM-LCR Honda.

Crutchlow was first recruited into MotoGP in 2011 and his debut with the

Monster Yamaha Tech3 team saw the British rider lift the Rookie of the Year title.

He continued to make impressive progress over the following two years as he got

a taste of the podium champagne with Tech3 and for 2014 he rides with Ducati

as the Italian factory strive to improve their competitiveness. However, Crutchlow

has not found results easy to come by on the GP14 and he will move to CWM-LCR

Honda in 2015.

Espargaro made his World Championship debut in 2006, riding seven races in

2011 and won the intermediate class title last year. In 2014, he rides as a MotoGP

from the front row of the grid at Le Mans.

In 2008 Redding became the youngest rider of all-time to win a Grand Prix race

(aged 15 years and 170 days) when he took a 125 victory at Donington Park. He

became a strong contender in Moto2 and could have been World Champion was

it not for a wrist-breaking crash in 2013. This year he has stepped up to the premier

class to ride Open machinery for GO&FUN Honda Gresini.

Despus de dos temporadas pilotando para Suzuki, Bautista pas a conducir

una Honda en la temporada 2012 al unirse al equipo Gresini y esa misma

temporada consigui su primer podio en la categora reina. Un cuarto puesto fue

su mejor resultado de 2013 y este ao disputa su tercera campaa en las filas de

Gresini y la quinta en MotoGP, resarcindose de un difcil inicio de temporada

subiendo al podio en Francia.

After two seasons riding for Suzuki, Bautista switched to Honda machinery

for 2012, joining the Gresini Team and going on to take his first ever premier class

podium finishes that year. Fourth place was his best result in 2013 and this year he

rides for his third year with Gresini in his fifth MotoGP class campaign, recovering

from a difficult start to the season to finish on the podium in France.

indudable talento. Antes de regresar a la competicin de MotoGP en 2012,

Espargar haba alcanzado su primer podio en una carrera de Moto2 y haba

impresionado en el pasado a los mandos de una Ducati satlite. As que el nuevo

captulo de su carrera, con el NGM Mobile Forward Racing y sobre la Forward-

Yamaha, ha despertado un considerable inters entre los aficionados, inters

refrendado con actuaciones como la pole conseguida en Assen.

The top CRT rider for the last two years, the popular Spaniard is an undoubted

talent. Before returning to MotoGP in 2012, Espargaro had taken his first career

podium in Moto2 and had impressed in the past on a satellite Ducati, so the

latest chapter of his career with NGM Forward Racing on the new Forward-Yamaha

package has sparked plenty of interest.

El piloto sanmarinense aterriz en el Mundial con 16 aos, en 2000, y se convirti en Rookie del

Ao en la categora de 125cc. En 2004 dio el salto al cuarto de litro, logrando su primera victoria en la

carrera final de 2006, una campaa que termin en 3 posicin de la general. Debut en la categora

reina en 2008, bajo la tutela de Gresini, consiguiendo su primer podio en MotoGP al finalizar 2 en

Indianpolis. En 2010 debut en Moto2, si bien disput tres carreras de MotoGP sustituyendo a

Aoyama. En 2011 volvi a Moto2, militado en el Forward Racing y este ao en el Tasca Racing. Sin

embargo, a mitad de temporada ha tenido la oportunidad de regresar a MotoGP para sustituir al

retirado Colin Edwards en el Forward Racing, su antiguo equipo de Moto2.

In his first full season in the 125cc class in 2000 De Angelis was named Rookie of the Year,

with his best season coming in 2003 when he finished second to Pedrosa. In 2004 he moved to the

250cc class, with 2006 his best season where he finished third in the standings. De Angelis stepped

up to the MotoGP class in 2008 for two full seasons, riding for the Gresini Honda team. In 2010,

he moved to the new Moto2 class, but returned to MotoGP for three races to replace an injured

Aoyama. 2011 saw him back in Moto2 on a full-time basis. In 2012, De Angelis joined Forward

Racing, yet bike issues put paid to his Moto2 title hopes. He remained with the team for 2013

yet on a Speed Up instead of the FTR, whilst in 2014 he tried his luck for Tasca Racing Moto2 on a

Suter. He got a chance to ride in MotoGP again replacing Edwards midseason at Forward Racing.

Di Meglio llega a la categora reina despus de 11 temporadas en las categoras

inferiores. El punto culminante de su carrera deportiva lleg en 2008, cuando se

proclam Campen del Mundo de 125cc. En 2009 pas a la categora intermedia,

sin demasiado xito. La pasada temporada sufri una fractura en el coxis a causa

de una cada en Brno que le oblig a acabar la temporada de manera prematura.

Este ao intenta cambiar el signo de su carrera con el salto a MotoGP, formando

equipo con Hctor Barber en el Avintia Racing Team.

Di Meglio steps up to the premier class in 2014 after 11 seasons of smaller

category participation. The highlight of the Frenchmans career to date was his

2008 125cc World title, though since 2009 he has been riding in the intermediate

class, without great success. Last year he suffered a fractured coccyx in a Brno

crash which ended his season, so he now looks to improve his fortunes in MotoGP

alongside Hector Barbera in the Avintia Racing team.

El espaol Hctor Barber se uni al Avintia Racing el ao pasado,

despus de una campaa en la que se encontr con bastantes dificultades

por adaptarse a la Ducati 1000cc del Pramac Racing. En 2013, sus mejores

Spaniard Barbera joined Avintia Racing last year after previously struggling

to adapt to Pramac Racings 1000cc Ducati machine. In 2013 his best results

were a pair of tenth place finishes at Mugello and Laguna Seca. This year, he

Avintia FTR machine.

representa al Drive M7 Aspar, de nuevo sobre una Honda.

The former 250 World Champion returned to MotoGP in 2013 aboard the

Avintia Racing CRT machine, after spending a difficult year out in World Superbikes.

The Japanese rider has previously ridden for the Honda Gresini team and now

The 2011 Moto2 World Champion joined the LCR Honda MotoGP

team in 2012 for his first venture into the premier class, winning the

Rookie of the Year title after some strong performances. He remained

with the team for 2013 and scored his first MotoGP podium, so aims

for more rostrum finishes in 2014.

Karel Abraham

Abraham fue el primer piloto checo en competir en la categora de

MotoGP cuando el equipo Cardion AB Motoracing que dirige su padre se

uni a la categora reina en 2011utilizando una Ducati. Karel impresion

en su primera temporada, pero se encontr con ms dificultades para

manejar la Desmosedici de 2012. Abraham sufri una lesin en el

hombro que condicion su campaa 2013, pero espera que el cambio de

la ART a la Honda le permita mejorar su suerte este ao.

Abraham was the first Czech rider to compete in the MotoGP

category when his fathers Cardion AB Motoracing team joined the

premier class in 2011 using Ducati machinery. He impressed in his

first season, but found 2012s Desmosedici harder to get to grips with.

Abraham suffered with injuries in 2013 but a switch from ART to Honda

machinery has helped to improve his form this year.

after gaining more experience in 2013, he continues with the team this year on

ART equipment.

Having campaigned mainly in the British Superbike championship over his

career, the Ulsterman made his debut in the worlds premier motorcycle competition

last season. From an extremely successful racing family, Laverty teamed up with

the PBM squad with an ART machine. He switched to the in-house PBM bike midway

through his maiden season and continues with the frame full-time for 2014.

En 2014, Broc Parkes es el nico representante de Australia en la parrilla de

MotoGP. El piloto de Nueva Gales del Sur, que ahora reside en Andorra, haba

disputado previamente un solo GP de 125cc como wild card -en la cita de Phillip Island

de 1999- pero este ao debuta en MotoGP a tiempo completo. Parkes corre con la

Broc Parkes is Australias sole representative on the MotoGP grid in 2014. The

El Circuito MotorLand en Aragn organiz su primer gran premio en 2010. Se introdujo en el calendario de grandes premios como sustitucin de ltima hora del Gran Premio de Hungra, porque no se terminaron a tiempo las obras del nuevo circuito hngaro de Balatonring.

En el primer gran premio de este circuito, de 5,078 km, el australiano Casey Stoner gan la carrera de MotoGP con Ducati, tras 23 vueltas y 116,936 km, con una velocidad media de 165,761 km/h en 44 minutos y 22,059 segundos.

El italiano Andrea Iannone gan la carrera de 21 vueltas de Moto2, por delante de Julin Simn, con una impresionante diferencia de 6,203 segundos. Pol Espargar sali victorioso tras una sublime batalla con Nico Terol en la carrera de 19 vueltas de 125cc. Slo 0,050 segundos separaron a los dos espaoles tras la carrera de 96,482 km.

Tres pilotos espaoles han ganado en dos ocasiones en Aragn. Pol Espargar, que el domingo correr en MotoGP, gan la carrera de 125 cc en 2010 y, dos aos despus, se hizo con la victoria en Moto2. The MotorLand Circuit at Aragn staged its first grand prix in 2010. It came into the grand prix schedule as a late replacement for the Hungarian Grand Prix when the new Hungarian circuit at the Balatonring ring was never constructed.

The first grand prix was held on the 5.078 kms circuit and the 23 lap 116.936 kms MotoGP race was won by Australian Casey Stoner riding the factory Ducati at an average speed of 165.761 km/h in 44m22.059s.

Italian Andrea Iannone won the 21 lap Moto2 race from Julian Simon by an impressive 6.203s with Pol Espargaro victorious in the 19 lap 125cc race after a superb battle with Nico Terol. The two

Spaniards were separated by just 0.050s after 96.482 kms of racing.

Three Spanish riders have won twice at Aragn. Pol Espargaro, who rides in the MotoGP race on Sunday, won the 125cc race in 2010 and followed up with a Moto2 victory two years later. Nico Terol won the Moto2 race last year and the 125cc race in 2011. Marc Marquez was victorious in the MotoGP race last year two years after his victory in the Moto2 race. The only other double Aragn winner is Casey Stoner who followed that first MotoGP victory in 2010 with a win the year later riding the Honda when he beat team-mate Dani Pedrosa by over eighth seconds.

Only two non-Spanish riders have won the 12 World Championship races staged at Aragn. Australian Casey Stoner won those opening two MotoGP races while Italian Andrea Iannone won that first Moto2 race. The remainder have been won by Spanish riders.

MotorLand Aragn has staged one of the four grands Prix in Spain over the last four years. The others are Jerez, the Circuit De Barcelona - Catalunya and the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia. Six Spanish circuits have staged grand prix racing since the World Championship started in 1949. Montjuich Park in Barcelona and Jarama in Madrid are the other two.

Tissot Ambassadors Bradley Smith and Nicky Hayden have scored podium finishes at Aragn. Smith finished third in the first 125 cc race in 2010. In the same year Hayden was third in the MotoGP race after a tremendous last lap battle with Jorge Lorenzo. It was one of the three podiums he achieved riding for the Ducati team. The other two came at Indianapolis and Jerez.

El trazado aragons es una fantstica combinacin de curvas y rectas, muy del agrado tanto de pilotos como de aficionados, que en 2010 gan el premio IRTA Best Gran Prix.

La Honda RCV213V empieza la vuelta a una velocidad aproximada de 295 km/h en 5 velocidad en la recta principal, colocndose poco a poco a la derecha para prepararse para una fuerte frenada para afrontar la primera curva a izquierdas. La curva 1 se toma a 85 km/h en 2 velocidad, con los pilotos asegurndose de no derrapar demasiado en la salida de la curva, ya que la Honda tender a irse hacia la derecha cuando engrane la 3.

Esta marcha es la adecuada para afrontar las dos siguientes curvas, dos derechas enlazadas. La curva 2 comienza con una subida gradual, que obliga a tirar fuerte la moto a la derecha a 165 km/h. Los pilotos deben dejan derrapar la moto a lo ancho de la pista al acelerar hasta los 210 km/h antes de la curva 3, llamada Carlos Checa, con una velocidad de paso por el pice de 150 km/h.

Saliendo de esta curva, la moto no debe girar demasiado a la izquierda, ya que debe prepararse para el cambio de direccin en la curva 4, a la que llega en la misma marcha a unos 210 km/h. La curva en si es difcil, ya que se traza a unos 175 km/h, pero

preparndose para reducir unos 90 km/h en una distancia muy breve.

Una vez en la curva 4, los pilotos debern levantar brevemente la moto antes de una dura frenada, bajando una marcha para afrontar la estrecha curva 5 a 85 km/h. Saliendo de la curva los pilotos suben rpidamente hasta 4 velocidad, recortando la curva 6 para encararse hacia la izquierda y prepararse para otra curva estrecha, la 7.

Esta es la nica curva de 1 velocidad de circuito, no porque sea particularmente lenta o estrecha, sino porque la salida de la curva es en subida. La Honda en particular se destaca por su rpida salida de las curvas lentas. Una breve subida engranando dos marchas hasta los 215 km/h llevar a la RCV213V hasta una fuerte frenada que precede a una de las zonas ms particulares del circuito, las curvas 8 y 9, conocidas como el Sacacorchos.

En 2 velocidad se trazan a 90 y 70 km/h respectivamente, antes de que los pilotos suban una marcha para afrontar una larga curva de izquierdas, la curva 10. Inicialmente, la moto traza por la zona exterior de la curva a unos 155 km/h, para rpidamente lanzarse hacia el interior de la 11, que es ms una recta con una ligera curvatura.

En esta zona la aceleracin es fuerte, sobre los 270 km/h en 5 velocidad, antes de que los pilotos deban hacer una frenada casi ciega, ya que coincide con la cresta de la subida. La siguiente curva, la 15, es casi un ngulo recto a izquierdas y en ligera bajada, que se toma en 2 velocidad a unos 90 km/h. En la salida es muy importante no derrapar ni irse demasiado a la derecha, para engranar 3 velocidad y preparar la moto para la curva 13 a derechas a 145 km/h.

Un ligero golpe de gas hasta los 180 km/h y los pilotos llega a la curva 14 en 2. En este punto se sacrifica la velocidad de paso por curva, ya que los pilotos deben mover rpidamente la moto a la derecha para conseguir trazar la curva 15 con la mxima aceleracin posible en la salida antes de afrontar la largusima recta, en la que pasan de 75 a 340 km/h.

Las dos ltimas curvas la tomarn como una sola. Entrando en la 16 podrn tomar una lnea ligeramente ms ancha antes de desplazarse al interior. Bajando a 3 velocidad a unos 135 km/h, la moto derrapar ligeramente para volver a abrirse al exterior de la curva 17, llegando al final de la subida a 160 km/h con visin directa de la lnea de llegada, a la que llegaran despus de engranar dos marchas.

A popular track with riders and fans alike, Motorland Aragon offers a fantastic mix of corners and straights that saw it win the 2010 IRTA Best Grand Prix award at its first ever outing.

Starting the lap the Honda will be at around 295km/h in 5th gear on the home straight, veering slowly out to the right to prepare for a hard braking zone for the first left-hander. Turn 1 is taken in 2nd gear at 85km/h, with riders making sure they dont drift too far out to the right on corner exit, as the RC213V will be flicked over to the right with a push of the gear lever to go up into 3rd.

This gear is needed for the following two fast right-handers. Turn 2 is the beginning of a gradual climb uphill, where the bike will be lent hard to the right at 165km/h. The riders will let the bike drift out wide to the kerb as they accelerate briefly up to 210km/h before Turn 3, named after Carlos Checa, with an apex speed of 150km/h. Heading out of this corner, the bike must not be allowed to veer too far over the left, as a change in direction lines the Honda up for Turn 4, which is approached in the same gear at 210km/h. The corner itself is a tricky one, as rider will be passing through at 175km/h, yet thinking of scrubbing off 90km/h in a very short distance.

Once through Turn 4, riders will ever-so-briefly stand the bike up to get onto the fat part of the tyre to brake hard, before dropping a gear and taking the tight left-handed Turn 5 at 85km/h. Exiting the corner the riders will short shift up to 4th and clip the kerb of Turn 6, after which they will drift gradually out to the left to prepare for the tight Turn 7.

This is the only 1st gear corner on the circuit not because its particularly slow or tight, but because after exiting the corner there is an immediate climb uphill. The Honda

in particular excels at a fast corner exit out of tighter turns. A brief climb and double shift to 3rd sees the RC213V at 215km/h, before braking hard for the tracks very own corkscrew section Turn 8 and 9.

In second gear the respective apexes will be taken at 90 and 70km/h, before riders will shift up to third for the very long left-handed Turn 10. Initially the bike will be kept on the outside of the corner at around 155km/h, after which riders will cut in tight to clip the kerb at 150, to get the best drive out to Turn 11 which is more of a straight with the kink.

Accelerating hard, the Honda will reach 270km/h in 5th before riders will have to brake blind before the crest of the hill. Turn 12 creeps up very quickly and is a tight downhill left-hander taken in 2nd gear at 90km/h. On corner exit its important not to drift too far over to the right, as riders will flick the Honda to the right, change up into 3rd, and take Turn 13 at 145km/h.

A quick blip of the throttle takes the bike and rider combination to 180km/h before changing down to 2nd for the tighter Turn 14. Corner speed is sacrificed at this point of the track, as the bike will move far over to the right to make the straight as long as possible when accelerating out of Turn 15. They start at 75km/h and end up at the end of the straight at 340km/h in 6th.

Heading into the final two corners, riders will take them as one. Entering Turn 16 they will just avoid the kerb to take a slightly wider line going in. Down to 3rd and 135km/h, the bike will drift wide in the middle of the arc, before riders will cut back in and aim for the kerb in Turn 17. Hitting this at 160km/h going uphill riders will have the finish line in sight, go up two gears, and keep it pinned towards the chequered flag.

Phillip Island is a fast and flowing circuit and the recent resurfacing has made the track perhaps the most demanding circuit on the calendar for tyres. The last corner in particular involves high speed and a lot of time at extreme lean angles, resulting in the highest rear tyre temperature of the season, so we have to take a special approach to tyre development here. Also, cold wet weather is often experienced here so softer compounds are generally required to generate good grip and warm-up performance, particularly on the right shoulders as there are fewer right-hand turns. Cold winds often blow in over the circuit from the sea, so we have to ensure our tyre allocation for this race gives good warm-up performance.

Sepang is one of the most impressive circuits on the MotoGP calendar and is distinctive because of its two long straights which make it one of the longest circuits we visit. Wild weather is often encountered here with track temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius and the potential for heavy rain over a race weekend. Sepang features a mix of high speed corners and tight hairpins with heavy braking, which makes good front tyre stability a priority here. Overall this circuit is quite tough on tyres as tyre temperatures can get to extreme levels due to the layout of the circuit and the hot ambient conditions which give little chance for the tyres to cool down.

Valencia is well-established as the venue for the last race of the season, and the circuit is a low-grip and technically complex track with a slow and twisty, asymmetric layout. The frequency of corners at this circuit means the tyres spend a lot of time at high lean angles and have little chance to cool down over the course of a lap. The high number of corners and moderate grip level means that if a bikes setup isnt optimised at this circuit, it is easy to generate excess tyre temperatures. As this race is the last of the season, low ambient and track temperatures are usually encountered, suggesting the use of softer compounds, however harder compounds are needed on the left shoulder of the rear tyres because of the temperature generated by the last corner.

Ambient conditions for the San Marino Grand Prix are usually hot so harder compounds are selected to provide better durability and heat resistance. The sequence of right-handers, starting with the fast Curvone corner is the section that puts the most strain on the tyres and this is where the rear tyres reach their greatest temperature. Generally the loads imposed on the centre, left and right shoulders are quite similar at this track. The front tyre requires a strong centre section to provide good stability in the frequent braking zones. A smooth riding style reaps benefits at Misano so as to not overwork the tyres as they have little opportunity to cool down during a lap due to the constant corners.

Aragon has a mixed layout that matches fast, flowing sections with some slower corners and chicanes. Compared to other tracks on the calendar, the tarmac here is relatively smooth and low in grip so the tyres need to provide good traction, while the long, fast corners and downhill braking zones also require high levels of stability. This makes tyre development for this circuit quite challenging. The weather at Aragon can be quite temperamental and warm or cool conditions are possible, so our tyre allocation for this round needs to work over a wide range of temperatures.

The Japanese GP will be held in late October this year and though temperatures at this time are generally cool, the track surface is high-grip and abrasive which combined with the circuits nature, places high loads on the tyres. The cool track temperatures also require softer compounds to provide good warm-up performance. Motegi has a stop-and-go nature featuring some heavy braking and hard acceleration points which traditionally tend to bunch the field and provide close racing and the circuit has an asymmetric layout with few left-hand corners. A strong tyre centre section is required here to provide good stability especially under heavy braking and hard acceleration.

Los aficionados de MotoGP son nicos porque su deporte es el nico que ha dado lugar a la creacin de una organizacin humanitaria. Riders for Health es la asociacin benfica oficial de MotoGP y de la FIM (Fdration Internationale de Motocyclisme) y recibe el apoyo de los motociclistas de todo el mundo en su voluntad de salvar vidas.

Gracias a Riders for Health, las motocicletas estn siendo utilizadas en toda frica para entregar asistencia mdica vital a aldeas remotas que estn apartadas de los servicios bsicos. Desde hace ms de 20 aos, Riders for Health ha proporcionado motocicletas y los conocimientos mecnicos a los trabajadores de la salud en frica, lo que les permite llegar a sus pacientes con regularidad y fiabilidad.

A mediados de los aos 80, el piloto norteamericano Randy Mamola, junto con Andrea y Barry Coleman, empezaron a recaudar fondos en el paddock de un Gran Premio para ayudar a los nios desfavorecidos en frica.

En un viaje a Somalia en 1988 vieron que al lado de las clnicas rurales de salud haba vehculos sanitarios en malas condiciones, motos que estaban abandonadas y oxidadas con solo unos pocos miles de kilmetros. La prestacin de servicios sanitarios no era la ms adecuada y los nios moran de enfermedades fcilmente previsibles y curables. Para gente que haba sido motociclista toda su

vida, aquello no tena sentido.Los fundadores de Rider for Health

identificaron un objetivo claro: inventar un sistema que asegurase que la prestacin de servicios sanitarios nunca se viese afectada por la falta de vehculos, sin importar lo duras que fueran las condiciones.

Riders for Health administra ahora ms de 1.400 vehculos en sietes pases africanos. El trabajador de la salud, que ahora dispone de una moto fiable, puede atender hasta seis veces ms personas que si viajara a pie o en bicicleta.

Gracias a su ayuda, Riders est llegando a ms personas que nunca a travs de frica. Al inicio de 2014, Riders for Health entreg 80 nuevas motocicletas y ambulancias para su programa en Gambia, con lo que el nmero total de vehculos en esa zona es de 234. Es ms, desde 2009 estos vehculos en Gambia han recorrido ms de 10 millones kilmetros sin una sola interrupcin. Eso significa 13 viajes a la Luna, ida y vuelta. O 1.694.152 vueltas al circuito ms largo de MotoGP.

En 213, el apoyo de los aficionados de MotoGP en eventos como el Day of Champions, Day of Stars y Da de los Campeones, ha permitido a Riders mejorar el acceso a los servicios de salud, que ahora llega a 14 millones de personas, mujeres y nios de toda frica. Sin embargo, con un milln de nios muriendo antes de cumplir su primer ao de edad, todava hay mucho que hacer.

Riders...Corsi lleg al Mundial en 2003, manteniendo una progresin continua hasta hacerse con el subcampeonato de 125cc en 2008. En 2010 dio el salto a Moto2 y fue uno de los primeros en adaptarse a la nueva categora de motores de 600cc, siendo recordada su actuacin en Mugello, donde subi al podio tras partir 26 en parrilla. Lleg al equipo Forward Racing en 2013, realizando una campaa un tanto irregular que le llev a acabar el ao en 11 posicin de la general. Este ao contina en la misma escuadra haciendo pareja con Mattia Pasini, mantenindose regularmente entre los cinco primeros, adems de subir al podio en Francia.

From Corsis first full World Championship season in 2003, his steady progression culminated with him finishing runner-up in the 125 class in 2008. In 2010 he graduated to Moto2 and was one of the riders who adapted well to the new 600cc category, with one of his standout rides coming in his home GP at Mugello where he stood on the podium from 26th on the grid. His first campaign with Forward Racing in 2013 left him a somewhat inconsistent 11th in the final standings, but he remained with the team for 2014 alongside compatriot Mattia Pasini and is already impressing with several top five race finishes plus a podium in France.

03La primera temporada completa de Luthi en el Mundial fue la de 2003, sorprendiendo con un podio en Catalunya, pero en 2004 sufri un rosario de cadas y lesiones que le relegaron a la 25 posicin de la general. En 2005 recuper sus mejores sensaciones, sumando cuatro victorias y ocho podios y consiguiendo el ttulo mundial de 125cc. Su defensa del ttulo se vio enturbiada de nuevo por las lesiones, decidiendo dar el salto a la categora intermedia en 2007. A los mandos de la Suter del Interwetten Paddock Moto2 Team desde 2011, acab esa temporada en quinta posicin, mejorando hasta la cuarta en 2012. El pasado ao sufri una seria lesin en la pretemporada que condicion su rendimiento. En 2014 se mantiene en el mismo equipo pero su rendimiento sigue siendo algo irregular, con un solo podio en Qatar combinado con actuaciones alejadas de lo que cabe esperar de un piloto de su calidad.

In 2005, he bounced back in phenomenal style, winning four races and taking eight podiums to secure the 125 World Championship title. Further injuries in 2006 affected his title defence as he placed eighth overall, and since 2007 he has ridden in the intermediate class of Grand Prix racing. On a Suter chassis with the Interwetten Paddock Moto2 Team in 2011 he finished the year fifth, while in 2012 he improved to fourth, though last year he was sixth after a nasty preseason arm injury. He remained with the same team for 2014 and things started off on the right foot in Qatar, where he was classified on the podium.12Kallio comenz a correr en Moto2 en 2011, procedente de MotoGP, y lo hizo en la formacin belga Marc VDS Racing Team, con la intencin de reverdecer los laureles que consigui previamente en las categoras inferiores. Tras un difcil inicio de temporada, el finlands fue ganando en competitividad hasta ser segundo en la ltima carrera del ao en Valencia. 2012 volvi a ser un ao irregular, pese a acercarse a las posiciones cabeceras en diversas ocasiones, sumando un nico podio. El pasado ao, repitiendo con la escudera belga, se mostr mucho ms competitivo, aprovechando su amplia experiencia para sumar su primera victoria en Moto2, en Brno. Este ao sigue con el Marc VDS y sum por primera vez en su carrera dos victorias consecutivas, tras vencer en Jerez y Le Mans, tras lo cual se convirti en un habitual del podio y serio aspirante a luchar con su compaero de equipo Tito Rabat por el cetro mundial de la categora.
