Readings for the Week LECTURAS DE LA SEMANA

THIS WEEK Psalm-Lord, make us turn to you; let us see your face and we shall be saved-Psalm 80

Salmo-Señor, Dios nuestro, restáuranos que brille tu rostro y nos salve-Salmo 80

Our St. Vincent de Paul Outreach Ministry is once again sponsoring children at the Guardian Catholic School, children of our SVdP pantry and parishioners. Please take a tag from the tree in church, purchase a gift (no greater than $25 val-ue), and return the wrapped gift with the tag from the tree on it ON or Before Sunday, December 16th. When you give a gift to a child in need, think of the smile on his or her face Christmas morning. You feel truly blessed.

Mass celebrated at: Friday Vigil, December 7th, 7:00 pm (Spanish/Misa en Español)

(Santo Nino Mass has been cancelled due to Holy Day) Saturday, December 8th, 9:00 am

Is a typical Filipino way of prepar-ing for the great feast of Christmas. This beautiful Catholic Church Tradition is an expression of the Filipino’s filial devotion to Mary, the Mother of God. For nine consecutive nights, they join and accompany her, as she awaits the birth of her Son. The Masses on these nights are celebrated as solemn votive Masses in her honor. We invite you to join us this coming December 22nd at 7:30 pm as our parish hosts the 8th night of the Simbang Gabi.

Simbang Gabi

Blood Drive Sunday will be on Dec. 9th 8:30 am-12:30 pm-Consider on giving a gift that keeps on giving. Especially around the holidays, blood is desperately needed. Thank you. —Sarinthia

MHR Reconciliation Service will be on Thurs., December 13th at 7:00 pm.

When liturgies outside of Mass are scheduled

[e.g., baptisms, weddings, wedding convalidations] there must be a sacristan or parish staff member request-ed to open and close the church. Please assure that the person who will assist is noted when the event is placed on the parish calendar. Without that information and planning, the liturgy cannot be done. —Deacon Jack
