Physiological Tier• The first tier shows the basic needs of a

human. These needs occur naturally and are unavoidable. A human will actively search for these needs and for fill them. Some needs, such as breathing, sleep and excretion, are carried out by the body and require no experience to carry out. Things such as: food, water and sex, require time and effort with experience to carry out the needed requirements.

Safety Tier• Once the most basic tier is completed the

next tier is available to for fill. This is so be secure in everyday life and in tasks. Making sure safety is a priority is key for survival and comfort. By having a secure lifestyle more tasks can be completed and therefor can also be more efficient. If a person doesn’t have security in their life then they are more susceptible to outside sources, such as the media.

Love/Belonging Tier• This tier is used to create intimacy

and love for other people. To do this people make bonds with others, creating friendships of even lovers. This tier also creates well being for family members that is different meanings to sexual partners of friendships.

Esteem Tier• This tier is created when all physical

boundaries are pushed and relationships with others are formed. This tier creates a feeling of self worth and respect for yourself and others. By doing so this creates reward without physical reward when tasks are completed.

Self-actualization Tier• This tier is the last and hardest to

achieve. This tier has given many influential individuals. This tier gives an person individuality and a sense of creativity and morals.
