• Common Consent- The popular will must be the key to understanding.
• Devotion to truth- The truth must always be sought and social direction guided thereby.
• Respect for Excellence- There should be a constant search for excellence of mind, character, and creative ability.
• Moral Equality- All individuals are judged by the same moral standards.
