Morais Vineyards & Winery Open for Rental!
“We experiment and push the boundaries of tradition. We are Family. We love
what we do. We create a world class experience in a style recognized as our own.”
Grand Opening!
With over 800 guests attending,
Morais Vineyards and Winery’s opening
event was a great success. We had
attendants from all over, including
members of the Portuguese embassy,
Manassas Mayor Harry J. Parish,
Fauquier Chamber President Joe Martin,
and many more.
Opening festivities began in the
front entrance courtyard and tasting room
where Morais Vineyards wines and
appetizers from Columbus Grill were
served. Reception and dinner followed in
the grand ballroom, a beautiful 4,000
square feet room with gleaming hardwood
floors, a stage, and two private outdoor
terraces. Selections of Rkatsiteli, Touriga
Nacional, an Albarino mix, and a
Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend were
available for tastings.

Entertainment was provided by
Portuguese song writer, Mauricio Morais,
and the Ranch Folclorico Barcuense
Portuguese Folk Group. Caroline Street
Catering provided delicious pastries and
Marisa Ward from Cakes for Mom
contributed an incredible cake. The event
was great to share with our guests and an
opportunity to share a venue unlike any
other in Fauquier County.
Cheers to Manassas Flower Gallery,
Photographer Pamela Lepold, Ana Farrays
for Linens, Allied Party Rentals, and
DeMorais Interior Design for their
excellent services!
We are in the process of making two
Portuguese dessert wines: Muscatel and
Jeropiga!
We also have a Green Wine in the makes,
Vinho Verde, a very famous wine in
Northern Portugal; made of Vidal and
Albariño and almost complete!
Morais Vineyards will be making a Rose
wine made of Cabernet Franc and Merlot
in equal parts as well.
