Moodle Updated version

▪ The environment is new, but the tools, resources and activities are the same.

▪ This tutorial is just to give a head start on using the new version.

▪ There are new tools and blocks installed with this new version, example analytical blocks and tools.

Turn Editing For Course Page



Step 1: Click Campus



Step 2: Log in



Step 4: Choose course



Step 5: Click Settings icon to start



Step 6: Click Turn editing on, so, the options to add a resource and activity shows up



Step 7: Choose a resource or an activity to build your course



Step 8: You can build the course from adding various resources and activities as the highlighted items. These are similar to the previous Moodle version tools.



Last Step:Turn editing off once you are done from adding the tool

Done!


Adding Blocks



Step 1: Click Settings icon



Step 2: Click Turn editing on, so, the add Block Shows up



Step 3: Make sure that the left frame is displayed as shown here in the picture

If the left frame is hidden, just click the hide/show button to display it



Step 4: Scroll down the frame to locate the Add-a-block link at the lower left part of the page.



Step 5: Scroll down the list and choose the Blocks you need as the sharing cart, courses, messages, calendar and a lot of new tools recently added

Moodle Messages



Step 1: Click Messages icon or Messages from menu option in the upper right coroner of your Moodle page



Step 2: Click any user to read his/her message

Step 3: You can click contact to look for any user in your Moodle site



Step 4: Type the name of the user, and the list will display. Then click the user to send him/her a message



Step 5: At the lower page, there is the text message, type in your message and press send

Step 6: Message is sent and displayed

Done!



Done!Click Log out to sign off MoodleFound at upper right area in Moodle

Done!
