WORK ENTIRE GARMENT WITH DOUBLE YARN [= 1 STR AND SISU + 1 STR AND TYNN SILK MOHAIR]

BACK AND FRONTWith double yarn and 5 mm circ ndl cast on (148) 160 (172) 184 sts. Join and work 4 cm ribbing k1 tbl, p1 in rnds.Insert marker at sides with (74) 80 (86) 92 sts for each part.Change to 6 mm circ ndl and cont in St-st until work meas 34 cm [all sizes].Cast off 6 sts at each side for armholes (= 3 sts at each side of markers).Put garment aside and work sleeves.

SLEEVESWith double yarn and 5 mm double pointed ndls cast on (32) 34 (34) 36 sts. Join and work 4 cm ribbing k1 tbl, k1 in rnds. Insert marker on first and last st on rnd.Change to 6 mm double pointed ndls. Cont in St-st and inc 1 st at each side of marker [= pick up strand between 2 sts and k tbl this new st].Rep inc every (5) 4,5 (4) 4 cm until (48) 52 (54) 56 sts.Cont until sleeve meas 46 cm, or suitable length. Cast off 6 sts at center underarm. Put aside and work other sleeve the same.

R AGL ANTransfer sleeve sts to the same circular 6 mm garment ndl, placing one sleeve above each armhole cast-off, at the same time k2tog [= raglan st] at each junction = (216) 236 (252) 268 sts. Rnd beg at a junction on the back. Insert marker on each raglan stWork 5 rnds St-st.Dec raglan as follows: Before raglan st: sl 1, k1, psso. After raglan st: k2tog = 8 sts dec.Rep dec on alt rnds (13) 15 (17) 19 times =

(112) 116 (116) 116 sts. Transfer the (12) 14 (14) 16 center front sts to a spare ndl for neckband. Cont to end of rnd. Cut yarn. Beg again at neck and cont back and forth. Rep raglan dec on alt rows 5 times more, at the same time cast off at neck at beg of every row 3 sts once, 2 sts twice, 1 st twice = 9 sts cast off at each side.Leave rem sts on ndl for neckband.

FINISHING, NECKBANDTransfer sts to 5 mm circ ndl and with double yarn knit up sts at neck. Work 1 rnd St-st, at the same time adjust number of sts to (82) 86 (86) 90. Work 4 cm ribbing k1 tbl, p1 in rnds. Cast off rib-wise. Sew armhole openings.
