MONTDEFER Project
MONTDEFER PROJECT CRD Zone (Zn-Pb-Ag-Mn); wide epitomized area (500m x 500m), sectors with
magnetite and garnet patches, intruded by a silicified dacitic body.
Vein Zone of intermediate Sulfidation (Au-Ag-Cu-Pb-Zn); consists of quartz veins,
silicified structures, breccia and oxidized areas hosted in andesite flows of the Calipuy
Group. The structures follow the Andean trend and dips 70º - 80º NE or SW, variable
widths up to 1 meter.
CRD zone was worked at 1983 with the name “Mina Doce Amigos”, it had 2 working areas: Tucur Grande area, actually Masglas´s properties, and Huamanqui area, actually locates into Milpo’s properties.
The Montdefer project is 40 km north of the Illari project (Newmont) and 12 km south of Elida project (Globetrotters)
Surface rock samples shows values up to 5% Zn, 3.9% Pb, 0.1g/t Au and 229 ppm Ag.
Structures filled with black tourmaline in the
matrix.
Hand sample of the CRD area, with epidote
and magnetite.
