Loyola’s new production of The Grand Duchess of Gerolstein will bethe first local revival since it was performed at the French OperaHouse in New Orleans in the 19th century. Join the Duchess, GeneralBoum, the lovers Fritz and Wanda, and a lively chorus of peasantsand soldiers for an evening of stirring and tuneful music, includingthe rousing “Saber Song.”
