About IITRAMInstitute of Infrastructure Technology Research and
Management (IITRAM) is an autonomous university
established by Government of Gujarat. It provides engineering
education with specialization in Infrastructure and
Management of Infrastructure to create centers of excellence,
to organize advanced studies and to promote research. It shall
foster cultural and ethical values with a view to enhance
professional morality, research integrity, globally acceptable
business ethics and morals for professionals. IITRAM
Ahmedabad offers Bachelor of Technology programs in Civil
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical
Engineering. Admission to these programs is through the
ACPC for the candidates from Gujarat and through JOSAA for
other candidate out side of Gujarat. The institute also offers
Masters and Ph.D. studies in various fields of engineering,
sciences and humanities, and social sciences.
About the Department The Department of Electrical Engineering at IITRAM,
Ahmedabad started in the year 2014 and has been offering
B.Tech. Electrical Engineering, M.Tech. Electrical Engineering
and Doctoral Programs. The department has state of art
laboratory and infrastructural facilities for teaching, training,
research and development.
About the Workshop
Modelling real time system is essential in Engineering
Applications. To develop an equivalent model, it is
necessary to capture the behaviour of the system under
test initially. Understanding the response followed by
system identification is widely accepted. In this 5-day
short term training program on 'Modelling, Monitoring
and Analysis of Power Transformer. we have brought
together an expert group of industrialist, academician and
researchers to convey the real time issues associated with
Power Transformers such as ageing assets, rising energy
demand, and the need to deliver power continuously
without outages. This workshop will disseminate
information on various condition monitoring and
diagnostics activities in order to achieve reliable solution.
Accurate modelling of acquired data and analysis of the
model of the system facilitate quick and reliable solution to
the utility by predicting operational ability of the system
under consideration. The workshop will also include field
visit and case studies for better understanding of the
underlying principle. We feel that domain knowledge, so
developed in the workshop, will immensely benefit
practising engineers, research scholars, academicians and
students of Electrical Engineering, societies to enhance
interactions with industry, government agencies and the
public at large.
Financial AssistanceFor outstation participants, financial support for travel in
train (II class sleeper) and/or ordinary bus will be provided
on production of the ticket/vouchers. Breakfast, Lunch and
Tea will be arranged to all participants during the
workshop. Limited accommodation in student hostel will
be made available if requested in advance for out
stationed candidates on twin sharing basis on nominal
charges in non-AC rooms.
Key Takeawaysl Monitoring and characterising behaviour of Electrical
Systems
