Stanford Achievement Test -Tenth Edition (SAT-10)
All Grade 1 and Grade 2 students will test Subtests to be administered:

Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT / FCAT 2.0)
FCAT vs. FCAT 2.0 Students will participate in the following assessments:
FCAT 2.0 Reading Grades 3 – 10
FCAT 2.0 Mathematics Grades 3 – 8 No comprehensive Mathematics assessment for Grade 9
FCAT Mathematics Retake Grade 10
FCAT Writing Grades 4, 8, 10
FCAT Science Grades 5, 8, 11
FCAT Reading Retake and/or Mathematics Retake Retained Grade 10 and Grades 11-AD
• Short- and extended- response items have been removed from all assessments.

FCAT / FCAT 2.0 UpdatesWriting
• Writing prompt has been removed from the Writing Folder and printed on a Writing Prompt Sheet
• Packages of Writing Prompt Sheets may be opened on the evening before testing or on the day of testing, but NO EARLIER
• Used prompt sheets are still considered secure materials and must be collected after testing
FCAT / FCAT 2.0 UpdatesReading, Mathematics, Science, and Retake The FCAT Retake administration window is separate from
the FCAT / FCAT 2.0 RMS test administration Grade 10 FCAT Mathematics and FCAT Mathematics

Flexible scheduling within the district’s testing window has been approved by the state for computer-based testing only.

What To Observe: Paper-Based Testing
During the Assessment (paper-based test) All testing signs are posted. Test materials must be handed to students
individually. Documentation of security numbers assigned
to students. (No security numbers for FCAT Writing)
A record of attendance is maintained. Test materials for absent students are kept in
a secure area in the room. Appropriate testing environment.

What To Observe: Computer- Based Testing
During the Assessment (computer-based test) Visual-barriers are used. Sufficient work space for Work Folders and
Reading Passage Booklets Student Authorization Tickets and test materials
must be handed to students individually. A record of attendance is maintained. Tickets and test materials for absent students are
kept in a secure area in the room. Appropriate testing environment.

What To Observe: General
During the Assessment The test schedule is followed with the
allotted time. The starting time and ending time is
displayed on the board. Electronic devices are not within arm’s
reach. Script is read verbatim. Test administrators and proctors actively
monitor testing.

What To Observe: Conclusion
Concluding the Assessment Test materials are collected
individually from students. Students are not permitted to leave
until all materials are collected and verified.
Test materials and documentation are immediately returned to the school assessment coordinator.

Reporting Irregularities
Any concern regarding a testing irregularity, breach of test security, or problem with secure testing materials must be reported immediately to Student Assessment and Educational Testing (SAET).
You should NOT “debrief” with school staff.
