The BUILDFest Pitch Challenge (BPC) is a two-part event that represents the culmination of a year of hard work by our ninth-grade students and celebrates the transformative power of entrepreneurship.

Here’s How It Works…

In late May, more than thirty teams of BUILD high school students representing seven Boston Schools will come together to pitch their innovative business ideas to panels of VIP judges. Only four teams will advance to the BUILDFest Pitch Challenge, which is the final round competition.

The BUILDFest Pitch Challenge will take place on Monday, June 4th at the Sheraton Boston Hotel. The four finalists will compete in front of a panel of celebrity judges and 600 guests for cash prizes and start-up funds. The judges this year will be Katie Rae (The MIT Engine), Corey Thomas (CEO- Rapid 7), Bob Davis (Highland Capital), and Jane Steinmetz (Managing Partner- EY). This event will also feature a family-friendly reception and Student Business Expo where guests will have the opportunity to meet BUILD’s student entrepreneurs and purchase their unique products. The BUILDFest Pitch Challenge is a great way to see our students in action while networking with Boston’s top business, education, philanthropic, and community leaders.
