i. CORP-2016-22 Donald F. Gordon Andrea Short Interim CAO and Human Resources Advisor Director of Community Services
Re: Council Member Remuneration Recommendation: THAT Council receive Report CORP-2016-22 for information;
AND THAT staff be directed to recruit for a Citizen’s Committee to review and recommend possible adjustments to Council member remuneration, and that a slate of recommended
committee members be brought before Council for approval on June 20, 2016;
AND THAT staff be directed to draft a Terms of Reference for
the Citizen’s Committee, to be brought before Council for consideration and approval on June 20, 2016;
AND THAT the committee report back to Council with a
recommendation no later than September 19, 2016.

Re: Award of Contract No. S2016-12 for the Final Design
and Construction of the Port Perry Gateway Sign on Highway 7A
Recommendation:
THAT Council approve the tender submitted by Sensational Signs Company Inc. for the final design and construction of the Port Perry Gateway Sign, and award Contract No. 2016-12 in the amount of $28,410, excluding taxes;
AND THAT Staff be authorized to issue a purchase order to the

ii. By-Law 22-16 – being a By-law to authorize the execution of a Municipal Street Light Agreement with Veridian Connection Inc. for the Township of Scugog. By-law included in the agenda.
iii. By-Law 23-16 – being a By-law to revise the Waterfront Steering Committee Terms of Reference. By-law included in the agenda.
Recommendation:
THAT By-Law Numbers 20-16 – 23-16 be read a First, Second and Third time and finally passed this 2nd day of May, 2016 and the Mayor and Clerk are hereby directed to sign same and affix the Corporate Seal thereto.
14. NOTICE OF MOTION 15. NEW BUSINESS/OTHER BUSINESS
i. Heritage Designation of Epsom Public School Resolution: Moved by: Councillor Seconded by: Councillor WHEREAS the Township of Scugog issued a notice of intent to designate Epsom Public School on March 21, 2016; AND WHEREAS a Letter of Objection was received by the lawyers for the Durham District School Board on April 22, 2016; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Scugog Council refers the Board’s objection to the Conservation Review Board, pursuant to Section 29(7) of the Ontario Heritage Act.
ii. Council Representative as a Liaison
on the Community Advisory Council for the Hospice
