What’s On The NCLEX-RN?The NCLEX-RN exam is used by the Boards of Nursing to test entry-level nursing
competence of candidates for licensure as Registered Nurses. The NCLEX-RN exam’s content is based on client needs:

The NCLEX is designed to test knowledge, skills and abilities
essential to the safe and effective practice of nursing at the entry level.
The exam is a variable length, computerized, adaptive test.
ScoresThe NCLEX-RN exam is pass/fail; there is no
numerical score. A determination will bemade at the conclusion of the exam as to
whether the test-taker has passed or failed.
The number of questions on the NCLEX-RN exam can be as few as 75 or as many as 265. The number of questions depends on how the test-taker answers the items.
