Course Content

1. Work Order ‘Finish’ Operations

To go directly to a particular section, click on hyperlink

Enter the appropriate selection criteria to find the list of work orders to have the User Status set to FIN.

Use transaction iW37N Select the operations that are listed and update the

user status as “FIN” for completed operations.

Once the physical work is completed for each operation, the User Status at operational level must be set to “FIN”

Work Order: ‘FINISH’ Operations

User status indicates, which phase of its life cycle an operation is in.

It’s normally the Planner/scheduler or scheduling who sets the User Status to FIN for standard Work Orders

Ensure the In Process check box is ticked and other check boxes are blank.

Click on Loc/Acct Assignment tab

In the Loc/Acct Assignment tab, enter the search term for your Area in the Plant section field.

Enter your AreaA81 corresponds to Area 8 ISBLA82 corresponds to Area 8 OSBL

Click on the Operations tab.

Click on Operation tab

In the Operation tab, enter the first part of Operation Work Center (for example: GMS1* for GMS1-ELE or GMS2* for GMS2-LAG or CHS1* for CHS1-MEC as per the requirement and Status Exclusive (from) as 'FIN‘.

Execute

The wildcard ( * ) will help in searching.

E.g. GMS1* will search for all Operation Work centers which begin with GMS1.

To view the details of an operation, select the row and click on the Order button.

To access each operation status, select the operation and click on the Information button at the bottom of the Operations tab.

Change the user status to FIN (Finished operation).

After setting the user status of all operations to FIN (Finished operation), save the work order. When all the Operations are set to status FIN, the work order header status will be automatically set to status FIN.

Open the Work Order in transaction iW33, to view the change in user status.

Use the following transaction path to List Maintenance Work Orders:

IW39 – Display

ZIW38 – List Editing: Change

You can search Work Order using various parameters (e.g. Order Status, Order type, Functional Location, Equipment, Planning Plant, etc.)

Note:If you want to search with Functional Location and if you know part of the data, the wildcard ( * ) will help in finding the rest. E.g. AA-861-S1* will find all the notification created against functional locations which begin with AA-861-S1.

The screen displays the orders which match the search criteria. To view Order(s), select the row(s) and click on “Order” button.
