1. Click at the position where the picture is to be inserted; then click Pictures to display the Insert Picture dialog box.
2. Browse to locate the picture you wish to insert.
3. Double-click the picture or select it and click the Insert button at the bottom of the dialog box to insert it.

1. Click at the position where the picture is to be inserted; then click Online Pictures to display the Insert Pictures dialog box.
2. Click the Bing Image Search box, enter a search term, and then tap ENTER to find the desired image.
3. Double-click the image to select it, then click the Insert button to insert it.

1. To change the size of a picture, select it and use the Height or Width arrows to increase or decrease the size.-or-
2. Select the picture and position the mouse over the sizing handles. When the pointer changes to a double-headed arrow, drag to the desired size.

1. To crop one side of a picture, click Crop and drag the cropping handle on the side inward. The cropping line will illustrate what will be cut off.
2. To crop the same amount on two sides, press CTRL while dragging the handle.
3. To finish, click outside the picture.

1. Click in the paragraph that is to begin with a dropped cap.
2. Select Drop Cap; then select Dropped or In margin.
3. The color of the dropped cap can be altered by selecting the dropped cap and choosing a different Font Color on the Home tab.

1. Click in the picture to be formatted to display the Picture Tools Format tab.
2. Click the More button to display all the styles in the Picture Styles gallery.
3. Click the desired style to apply it to the picture.

1. Position the insertion point where the video clip is to be inserted.
2. To insert a video embed code, locate the code and copy it to the Windows Clipboard.
3. Click Online Video to display the Insert Video dialog box.
4. Key the keywords in the Bing Video Search box or YouTube search box to search for the desired video or paste the video embed code in the text box. Click the search box.
5. Select the video, then click Insert.

• Newsletters are usually keyed in a two- or three-column format.
• Text is keyed beginning at the left margin. When that column is full, the text automatically flows to the top of the next column; this is called snaking.
• The banner heading (title) is keyed at the top across all the columns.

2. To balance columns on a page, click the end of the columns and insert a Continuous section break.

1. Click More Columns at the bottom of the drop-list options to display the Columns dialog box.
2. In the Presets box, choose Left; then select the number of columns desired. The width of each column and the amount of space between columns displays. The settings can be altered by using the spin arrows.
3. Click Line between if a line is desired between columns.

• A graphic is automatically anchored to the paragraph closest to where it was inserted. When the paragraph moves, the image automatically moves with it.
• An image can be kept in the same position regardless of where the text moves by choosing Fix Position on Page.
• You can also place the image at a specific horizontal and/or vertical position on the Position tab in the Layout dialog box.

2. Choose Fix Position on Page if you need to keep the picture at the current location. Otherwise, click More Layout Options.
3. In the Layout dialog box, click the Position tab. Key the desired horizontal and vertical positions.
4. In the Options section, deselect Move object with text. Select Lock anchor to keep the image at a particular position.
