WIRELESS LIGHTING SYSTEMS(Philips & Belkin WeMo)

• Wireless lighting systems are the latest technology of

the time, which allows users to switch on and off

lights from a single control panel, their mobile or

tablet, or even by voice without using traditional

switches.

• These are sophisticated and sleek, easy to use and

made for users’ ease to control the lighting systems

from anywhere inside the home.

• Motion sensors in lights allows the place to light up

only when someone enters the room.

• In this research I will explain the wireless technology

adopted by the companies Phillips and Belkin.

TYPES, WORKING AND USES

BULBS

The Phillips HUE allows the users to control the home lightings

through the HUE App when they are not at home. They can also

set timing for when the lights will be on. It also enables us to set

different functions for each room.

The Osram Lightify allows you to customize the warmth and

intensity of home lights. We can also change the temperature

range from warm to cool shades of white. The WEMO App can

be used in WIFI or mobile data, lets the user to control lights

outside from home, dimming them at sunset and schedule the

timings.

LIGHTSTRIPS

The Phillips HUE lightstrip plus is self-adhesive, can be bent into

any form and can be cut into desired length. Can be used in

furnitures, coves, under kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanity or to

focus on any architectural piece. They are also usable for larger

areas.

Compatible with WEMO technology, these strips are self-adhesive,

flexible and comes in different color and hue choices. These can be

used as decorative lights, highlight any furniture, focal for any

object or placed on walls to highlight the space. The intensity can

also be managed. Dimmer ones can be used in bathrooms and

bedrooms for comfortable aesthetics.

Phillips provides with three different kinds of lamps which

portable, comes in vibrant colors to create amazing indoor
