Modern Dental Group has been awarded as a “Caring Company” by the “The Hong Kong Council of Social Ser vice”. The award is in

recognition of our commitment to “Caring for the Community”, “Caring for the employees” and “Caring for the environment” over the past years.

As part of its broader corporate social responsibility outreach program, Modern Dental Group has been the key sponsor and actively involved in the “Shining Smile Project ”, initiated by evangelical Lutheran Church of Hong Kong. “Shining Smile Project” is a program which has an objective of helping successful drug rehabilitants regain confidence by restoring their lost dentition. Apart from this program, Modern Dental has also participated in various CSR activities, such as “Outstanding Social Caring Organization” and “Social Caring for Green excellence” under the “Future Leadership Summit & Social Caring Pledge Scheme” to reinforce the “Caring Company” mantra that the company has been lauded for.

Modern Dental Laborator y is proud to announce the launch of a new orthodontic line. Due to the large varieties of orthodontic appliances, we have decided to hire a professional photographer to create high definition photographs of all our appliances so that patient and doctors can visualize dif ferent options. Since Modern has a dedicated team of technician which focuses purely on crafting orthodontic appliances, therefore we will be creating a brand new separate orthodontic order form. It is our hope that we can better ser ve you with over 40 types of orthodontic products and an additional 30 modifications. Again, all our materials come from trusted sources which are either FDA approved or Ce marked. Fabrication of the orthodontic appliances with dif ferent colors and graphic insert for personal characterization is also available. Part of our orthodontic team also focuses on fabricating Mandibular Advancement Devices (MAD) which is becoming an increasingly popular treatment for obstructive sleep apnea. We are more than happy to come to your office and tell you more about the bite taking and explaining the dif ferent MADs.

Winter is coming to an end soon and many people are getting back into sports. never underestimate the potential damage to the oral cavity during sports. To further improve our service to dentist, we have designed patient friendly pamphlets which you can place at your reception to educate and stimulate patients to enquire about sport guards. A Sport Guard protects youProperly diagnosed, designed, and custom fabricated sport guards protect you in sports from oral or facial injuries. Studies have shown that sport guards are able to absorb the force of an impact and distribute this force more evenly compared to not wearing a sport guard. Cementation

Self-adhesive or adhesive resin cements are recommended. The shade of the cement will contribute to the final shade. Please follow the manufacturer's instructions closely.

Fine diamond with water cooling or diamond impregnated rubber is recommended. Areas must be polished to a high shine with diamond polishing paste afterwards.

Consistent Strength:Given the high translucency of FMZ Ultra, it still retains a reliable flexural strength of ~600MPa (compared to ~360MPa for lithium disilicate restorations). Compared to normal zirconia (~1200 MPa), it is easier to adjust and more gentle on the opposing dentition. CAD/CAM milled restorations provide a precise fit and predictable results. We take great efforts during post-treatment of our zirconia products. Research has shown that exposed zirconia surfaces, when treated correctly, are gentle to the opposing dentition which gives patients and clinicians further peace of mind.

Content

Filling the root canal three dimensionally is one of the primary triads of endodontic treatment. The function of obturation is to fill up the root canal space completely thereby forming a barrier to ingress of any bacteria from the occlusal aspect or the ingress of any tissue fluids from the apical foramen as well as to entomb any bacteria within the root canal system. This workshop will demonstrate the use of warm vertical compaction which is considered as the gold standard in obturation techniques.

# Participants must bring their own extracted prepared teeth for hands on practice.

A workshop which will teach dental assistants to improve their technique of pouring a stone model from an impression. Demonstration will be given by our technicians, followed by hands-on practice from participants.
