Stereo Amplifier Wall Plate with BlueTooth Receiver MODEL 50-14825 IDEAL FOR USE WITH • Computers • Bluetooth equipped smartphones and other portable devices FEATURES • Small compact size • Compatible with decora style single gang devices • 3.5mm stereo line level input • High fidelity Bluetooth compatibility with range up to 32’ • 15W RMS x 2 channel amplifier • Speaker protection circuit CONNECTING POWER • Supplied AC adapter provides 12VDC, 2A to the unit • Adapter plugs directly into the pigtail attached to the rear of the unit • It may be necessary to splice longer cable length into this, when doing so take extreme care to maintain proper polarity. • See MCM’s wall plate Item #50-14830 which is specifically designed for remotely locating the AC adapter CONNECTING AUDIO SOURCE • Line level audio is typically supplied via the front panel 3.5mm jack. • This can be used to connect to the headphone output of any portable device • It may alternatively be supplied via the RED/WHITE/BLACK pigtail leads on the rear of the unit. • NOTE: An audio source should be connected to only one or the other, not both. • BLACK - Signal Ground RED - Signal Right WHITE - Signal Left CONNECTING SPEAKERS • This unit is especially well suited for ceiling, in-wall our other permanently installed speakers • The highly efficient digital amplifier will drive impedance loads as low as 4ohm • IF connected speakers are 8ohm, two pairs may be driven from this single amplifier • Screw speaker terminals are labeled (+) and (–), be sure to note proper polarity • Take care not to allow speaker wires to short together, as amplifier damage may occur • This unit can NOT operate in bridged mode, nor can the L/R (–) connection be tied together • Using a separately available switch, such as the MCM #50-14835, this device can share a pair of speakers with another system. INSTALLATION • Decora style mounting is compatible with industry standard cover plates • This device is designed to be mounted in a standard single electrical box • If used with a switch or other low voltage device, it may be used with a multi gang box and cover • Do NOT place this unit in multi gang electrical boxes with light switches or AC outlets • Low voltage rings, brackets or other open backed mounting methods are not recommended BLUETOOTH FUNCTION / LED STATUS • Power OK: Flash three times, 0.1 second on/off • Pairing OK: 0.5 second on/off until link OK • Link OK: Flash twice, 0.5 seconds on/ 0.2 seconds off, each 5 seconds • Standby: Flash once, 0.5 seconds on/ 0.2seconds off, each 5 seconds • Play music: Flash once, 0.1s on/ off, each 5 seconds • Link back: Flash once, 0.05 seconds on/ 0.15 seconds, each 5 seconds BLUETOOTH PAIRING Each unit is supplied from the factory with a unique fixed ID and passowrd that can not be changed. • Locate the sticker on the rear of the unit, showing your specific ID and password • Make certain the volume control is powered on • Search for Bluetooth device on your portable music source • Each unit factory programmed with unique ID and password • Once found, enter the four digit password provided with the unit • You will hear a confirmation tone from the connected speakers, at this point the unit is ready for use
