Mobile Subscription Predictions

Total mobile subscriptions are expected to grow from 6.8 billion in

Q1 2014 to 9.2 billion by the end of 2019.

Total smartphone subscriptions reached 1.9 billion in 2013 and are

expected to grow to 5.6 billion in 2019.

The number of mobile subscriptions for mobile PCs, tablets and

mobile routers is expected to grow from 300 million in 2013 to around

700 million in 2019.

Users spend 2 hours and 42 minutes per day on mobile devices as of March 2014.

Mobile app usage accounts for 2 hours and 19 minutes of that time spent.

Time spent in native apps, 2 hours and 19 minutes in 2014 is up 12 minutes per day (or 9.5%) from last year.

Mobile web usage has dropped from 20% of the U.S. consumer’s time in 2013 to just 14% – or 22 minutes per day
