Welcome We are pleased to present you this ninth edition of MMM e-CONNECT. The objective of these newsletters is to keep the members informed of the activities in the Mandal, recent developments and future programmes. Feedback and suggestions from the members are always welcome.

From the President’s Desk

Ram Ram Sa!

It’s been close to one year now since this committee took the responsibility to run Marwari Mitra Mandal.

A lot has happened since the 8th newsletter in Sept 2016. We celebrated the signature event of Diwali with lots of pomp and glory. We had an enjoyable evening together at the Ritz Carlton with support from the sponsors. We would like to thank all the sponsors for supporting the society so generously. After that, in January, we had our inaugural Badminton tournament, as part of our initiative to promote and organize more healthy and inclusive events that our members of all ages can take part in. With the tournament witnessing such a positive response, we hope to organize more such events next year on a larger scale. Family Picnic was no less of a fun for all to spend quality time together. As usual, we observed Holika Dahan with Gujrati Society. The grand Holi Mela was organized jointly by 4 societies; Marwari, Gujrati, Sindhi and Maharashtra together with Katong CC. The Holi Mela was graced by the Indian High Commissioner of Singapore, Shri Javed Ashraf ji and Mr. Lim Biow Chuan, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Adviser to Mountbatten Grassroots Organizations, MP for Mountbatten SMC. Our MMM Ladies Wing got together to organize and celebrated Gangaur.

As usual, we also had 3 blood donation drives.
