Step 1Purpose

Use this procedure to create equipment. Trigger Perform this procedure when users want to create new equipment.

Prerequisites Functional location

Menu Path Use the following menu path(s) to begin this transaction:

Logistics -> Customer Service -> Management of Technical Objects -> Equipment -> IE08 - Create

Transaction Code IE08

Helpful Hints Users can maintain warranty information when creating equipment master. Details of the

warranty entry refers to “MLH [UT-CS11] [Maintain warranty information].doc” Step 5. The screen of equipment master may be modified after the users comment. The screen may not

be exactly the same as the screen dump in this document.

1. Start the transaction using the menu path or transaction code.

2. Double click the SAP menu tree item .

3. Input “Valid On”

4. Input “Equipment category”- S

5. If users want to copy the data from another equipment, fill in the “Equipment” in below “Reference” area.

6. Press ENTER.

8. Input “Object type” (article)

9. Input “AuthorizGroup” (category)

10. Input “Acquisition date” (purchase date)

11. Input “MiantPlant”- 1000

12. Input “Location”
