MLDS and Effective Mentoring

Choosing to cultivate the leadership capacity of Missouri's principals, on purpose, is no small undertaking. Research and practical experience tell us the impact of leadership, effective or otherwise, is profound. In the absence of a coordinated approach to professional learning, development of effective leaders leans heavily on trial and error, and hope. Through the application of competency-informed professional learning experiences, personal contact with capable mentors and regular engagement with trained leadership development specialists, Missouri's early career principals will be surrounded by a knowledgeable and experienced team working to support their professional growth and success.
