welfth Sunday in rdinary ime The psalmist cries out to God, “Lord, in your great love, answer me.” In each of our readings today, there is movement from darkness and despair to trusting in God as our source of salvation. Jeremiah sounds almost a mad-man as he describes the evil and vileness that surrounds him. In the midst of that terror, he professes his faith in God. Similarly, in Saint aul’s letter to the Romans, we are reminded that one man, Jesus Christ, came into the world for the sake of many, to overcome the evil and sin that have been prevalent since dam. In ark, Jesus calls us from fear, sin, and darkness to live in the light. He reminds us that we are not alone and how very precious each of us is in the eyes of God. Indeed, God hears our cries!
FR In our world today, it seems there are many things to make us fearful. We can become distraught over personal finances, relationships, poor choices our children are making, issues with jobs, the changing climate, the way our parish is being run, or a zillion other things. The problems may not even be evil but may be simply life and all its challenges. But these struggles are real, and sometimes we seek unhealthy solutions. any people suffer with issues of anxiety and depres-sion, and fear leads others to addiction as a means of coping. In our Gospel today, God lovingly calls us beyond that darkness to light.
U R R H M R H M SP RR S Sometimes we look for very complex answers when a simple promise or solution is right in front of us. s I am writing and looking out the window, I see half a dozen little birds sitting in a bush. Their presence is a reminder to me of God’s love and care for each and every one of us. If something that seems so insignificant or incidental is known by God, how much more are we loved and cared for! Take a moment, look at the world around you, breathe, take it in, and ask God for the help you need. Turn matters over and place your trust in a loving God. Remember, though, Jesus seldom heals without some sort of action on our part. When you have given your concern over to God, other concrete steps may be necessary. Is it time to schedule an appointment with a profession-al? Time to name an issue? Or time for the sacrament of reconciliation? Evil’s power comes from remaining in the darkness. When we no longer close ourselves off or suffer alone but share our concerns with someone, we can begin to grow and heal and move past them. It is seldom magical or instantaneous. It is a long arduous process. But we hold on to the simple reminder, “You are worth more than many sparrows!” Today’s Readings: Jer 20:10–13; s 69:8–10, 14, 17, 33–35; Rom 5:12–15; t 10:26–33 Copyright © J. S. aluch Co., Inc.

There is a good reason that the writ-ings of St. aul don’t show up as ex-amples in grammar textbooks. To-day’s reading is a case in point. It begins with one of those long aul-ine run on sentences that leave lec-tors gasping for breath. So what? Take a closer look at how aul’s fer-vor for his subject matter derails the grammar. There is something admi-rable about being so caught up in his convictions that the words cannot

Our Faith come fast enough to express them, much less in an orderly fashion. Scripture scholars usually take this grammatical ineptness as a sign of a passage’s early importance in the Christian community, something they were so ardent about that their language never got refined. What leaves us in this condition? Re-telling the plot line of an action movie or the play-by-play of a sport-ing event? When was the last time any of us was so excited by our faith in Christ that we were left grasping for words, stumbling over our own errors in speech? It may be bad grammar, but it is an excellent way to inspire others with the message of Christ!

This community never ceases to amaze. Last Sunday, ark Griswold, Dave Savage, Steph Ziegler, and Da-
vid Wilbur and family planned a "drive-up" adora-tion that took place in the St. Norbert parking lot.
Not knowing what to expect, I thought perhaps a few cars would show up. What happened that late morn-ing blew me away. Sixty cars, socially distant of course, in the lot outside the Church at the start of the procession. any cars filled with families. You are a people hungry for God! I am humbled and proud to be your astor.
It is now two weeks of masses with the Church open to all. With the CDC rules in this yellow phase of the pandemic, just over 100 people in our Church's is capacity with overflow directed to the gym where the ass may be seen. communion minister assigned to bring communion to those who are watching the ass in the gym. lease remember this is new for all of us.
djustments are being made as we strive to figure out the new normal. Thank you very much for your pa-tience.
You will hear in Sunday's Gospel Jesus tell the twelve, fear no one, and do not be afraid. Friends, we are still living in uncharted waters as our world slowly comes out of hibernation. I've heard from many people about anxiety, fear, and loss of hope. But let's try out best to take Christ's words to heart. Sacred Heart of Jesus, we place all our trust in you!
Happy and blessed Father's Day! St. Joseph pray for us!

S S ulldogs... at their best! While this was a school year that no one could have
predicted, the 8th grade students of St. Norbert School stepped up and met the challenges with their usual enthusiasm and determination- demonstrating
truly the very best of SNS.
Fortunately, long-distance learning did not prevent the 8th grade students from participating in many of the traditional SNS graduation activities. This spring, the students and their families united to donate food and non-perishables to support 60 families in need and stock the St. Gabriel Food Cupboard as a special 8th grade service project. The students also participat-ed in a special Zoom retreat led by Fr. att Guckin reflecting on the theme of the rodigal Son. In ay, the 8th grade class explored New York City dur-ing a virtual class trip that took them from Ellis Island to St. atrick’s Cathe-dral to Broadway with a few surprise tour guides along the way. Earlier this month, the SNS faculty and staff drove over 60 miles to parade through the streets of aoli, alvern, alley Forge, hoenixville, Devon, Berwyn and Newtown Square to give each 8th grade student an unforgettable graduation drive-by. nd just last week, the St. Norbert parking lot was transformed into an open-air arade of Graduates for classmates and families to cheer the 8th grade class. special graduation mass for the students and their families will hopefully be celebrated later this summer.
Congratulations to the St. orbert School Class of 2020!
Treasures from our Tradition Congratulations to eacon Hank and eacon Paul who were ordained last Saturday.
