Mitigating Risk Exposure for MTSA Facilities and Vessels

How It WorksInspection results are displayed prominently in green or red across the FortifID screen, removing any confusion about an access decision. Results are then securely transmitted using an encrypted cellular connection to the FortifID 360 portal for demonstrating compliance with the USCG.

Electronic Authentication The FortifID electronically authenticates the TWIC through a challenge/response protocol, using the unique electronic identifier within the credential itself. If the TWIC has been forged, the FortifID will notify the guard that the credential could not be authenticated and displays a red failed inspection result.

Electronic ValidationThe FortifID electronically validates that the TWIC is not expired and that the credential’s FASC-N is not on the Canceled Card List (CCL). If the TWIC is expired or on the CCL, the FortifID notifies the guard that it is expired/canceled and displays a red failed inspection result.

Pass InspectionAfter a TWIC has been electronically authenticated and validated, the FortifID displays a green trusted inspection result, clearly indicating to guards how to proceed.

FortifID is a game changer when it comes to mitigating dangerous and costly security risk exposure…It seems an obvious choice to both reduce the vulnerability to, and the consequences of, a security incident.
