Platonic Solid ManipulationThis Project utilized 3D Modeling Software (Rhino) to explore the manipulative properties of base geometric solids. The solids were maniulated in multiple ways, from changing the form of the original solid to creating cluster and branching patterns. After multiple iterations were made one model was chosen for physical fabrica-tion. The fabrication process involved digitally unrolling the 3D shapes, lazercutting them, and constructing the model physically. Base ModuleSolid AssemblyTruncated Octahedron

Complex Object FollyThis Project began with a study of a complex object, an anderson engine starter. The starter was dis-assembled, analyzed, and docu-mented in the form of 2D drawings. Details of the inter-mechanics of the starter were extracted and re-appropriated into the design of a Folly. The details and function of the starter were used to create a theme of organic form changing into mechanic form that guided the design of the Folly.

Lincoln Plaza Fashion Design CenterThe first step of this project involved the diagramming of different fashion pleats to gain an understanding of their spatial and formal qualities. After this information was extracted the qualities were applied as processes to alligning program on the site. The design of this fashion center utilized the form of the Box Pleat to create areas of different ranges of enclosure from private, semi-private, to public. These ranges are contained within a form that responds to neighboring public spaces in Lincoln Plaza by guiding circulation both around and through the building.

Piazza san Giorgio Analysis

Verona Italy Urban PiazzaThe preliminary phase of the of the Piazza design began with prece-dent studies of existing urban spaces in Verona, in this case Piazza san Giorgio. From these studies vital information of materi-ality and scale were extracted. This information guided the design of the new Piazza. The new Piazza’s design referances multiple levels of scale interperated from other spaces in the city that are weaved together with an extension of the column grid from the existing Dogana structure on the site. The weave integrates itself into the site to generate a space that pulls the surrounding enviornment in and through the Piazza.

This Project utilized Cyclone 3D Scanning technologies to create point cloud data of Urbanovsky Park on Texas Tech University’s campus that information could be extracted from. Once the point Cloud was generated it was cleaned and analyzed. The analy-sis produced land volume, con-tours, and an elevation of an exist-ing building on the site.

Lubbock Studio ResidenceThis project focused on drawing production using Autodesk Revit. The function of the building is an artist studio residence. A two story design that seperates the program by floor was produced. The first floor acts as the workspace and display area while the second floor is completley residential. This change in program type is coupled by a change in materiality. The studio is covered by a wooden tile finish with a large glazed opening for the display area while the resid-nce is wrapped in a contiguous Corten panel system with windows inserted into the grid.
