including 1,200 current students   786 energy ventures have been founded by

MIT Energy Club members and alumni, with 30-35 new energy ventures each year

MIT Energy Conference   Flagship event of the MIT Energy Club held annually since 2006   Largest student-led energy conference in the country   Network of leaders in industry, government, and academia   Two-day interdisciplinary discussions of a full range of current energy issues:

−  Prior speakers include Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz, Jim Rogers and David Crane

−  Events include Energy Career Fair, Energy Showcase, VIP Reception −  650 attendees for the full conference and >1,500 attendees for the Energy

  A multi-stage, student-organized business plan competition

  In 2015, student teams competed for a $275,000 Grand Prize and $105,000 in category prizes, among other awards

CLEAN ENERGY PRICE ENERGY NIGHT   Attracts over 1,000 people   Features over 70 interactive poster

presentations from research across MIT   Showcases 10 early stage start-ups based on

MIT technologies   Celebrates ingenuity & innovation across MIT   Partners of the event reach entrepreneurs,

venture capitalists, and researchers

ENERGY HACKATHON   Energy enthusiasts are matched with real world

challenges submitted by participating companies resulting in solutions and energy ventures

  Approximately 240 students and 80 professionals participated in the inaugural event in 2015

  Students included undergrads and grads from MIT, Harvard and other schools

ENERGY CAREER FAIR   To be hosted the night

before the Energy Conference

  Inaugural event in 2016 expected to attract over 300 students

  An intimate space connecting students with energy companies
