It all starts here! Welcome to San Francisco! The picture on the left is in where our

missions project will be staying for the summer. It is a hostel in downtown SF near City Hall and on the border of the Tenderloin District. (The Tenderloin is the homeless and drug infested area of the city) The project goes from June 11th to August 3rd. The housing is “dorm style” with bathrooms on each floor. Our family will be sharing one room with a microwave, two double beds, a dorm fridge, and a tv. Some of our friends gasp with the idea of four people in one room for that long. We are still alive from last summer, and are back for more! (Either we are a family like Mother Teresa or gluttons for punishment—I’ll let you decide!) In terms of ministry, we have a group of 38 people, from all over the United States. (East Coast, Texas, and West Coast mostly). We want to give each student an opportunity to share the gospel in four main areas: Compassion ministry: homeless care, food, behavioral health. Elderly folks homes: visitation and planned events. NonChristian Youth: after school tutoring, day camps. College campus ministry: Berkeley, SF State.

Some encouraging News: The picture on the bottom left was JUST for the leaders of summer projects.

So every three people in that rooms represents another mission team. Last year, our one team of 40 people initiated over 500 spiritual conversations.

I don’t know the exact numbers, but from the picture below. . . That is a lot of teams + a lot more students = the gospel is being shared a lot!!

Pray: SF is a dark city, so please pray for our spiritual and physical safety. Pray for

strong relationships and marriage, (We just had our 19th Anniversary on June 5th!), Pray for Jaron (just turned 12 on June 6th), and Micah (10) that God would impact their hearts! Much thanks!
