20 February Edition 7 Miss Print The Newspaper for Miss West Lothian entrants A unique new experience came to West Lothian from this Saturday, February 19, when the area’s first Urban Spa opens at the award- winning Adore Beauty salon in Livingston. Established in Linlithgow for the last seven years, Adore Beauty has picked up a host of top awards, including PSYBT Regional Business of the Year, Darphin Salon of the Year and Health and Beauty Business of the Year. Now, as the business embarks on its next phase of expansion, customers in Livingston are about to find out just what makes Adore Beauty so special. Customers can enjoy the whole range of beauty treatment - from head to toe. The new 2,500 square foot urban spa, based right in the heart of Livingston, boasts five luxurious spa treatment rooms, relaxation room, Darphin beauty spa, custom manicure and pedicure area, Paul Mitchell Professional hair spa and an American pedicure throne. Adore Beauty has been named official beauticians to this year’s Miss West Lothian event, and the current Miss West Lothian, Metja Bowes, performed the opening of the new Urban Spa on Saturday. Owner Victoria Whitelaw said: “I am looking forward to welcoming customers old and new at the Urban Spa. “We have been looking for larger premises in Livingston and The Parkway Retail Square is ideal, based next to Almondvale Boulevard with plentiful parking right on the doorstep. “It’s exciting for me and I think it will be just as exciting for our customers.” Miss West Lothian cuts it at opening of new Adore Beauty and Hair Spa T he next Miss West Lothian workshop will take place at Grand Central, Carmondean, Livingston, from 7 - 9.30pm on Monday 7th March. The workshop will start to prepare entrants to take part in catwalk fashion shows and will begin the preparations for the grand final of this year’s event. Workshops will include confidence training, walking on the catwalk, chatting with the comp- ere and question and answer session. There will also be an opportunity to get an entry picture taken. It is not necessary to come particularly dressed up, although please bring a pair of high heels for the catwalk workshop. We have also introduced a healthy eating and lifestyle session, but this will commence in the second workshop of the year. Also on the night, we will discuss this year’s KISS campaign to raise funds to purchase personal safety alarms for women. You will meet the Miss West Lothian ‘team’ on the night and we look forward to welcoming you.
