Communion and on going Catechism can register at the CCD Office on Monday’s at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Thursday’s 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday’s at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Matthew 19:14 Orientation Day is set for Thursday, August 8. There will be two sessions one from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and the other from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. This day is required for all families to attend. Make sure to bring in your classroom supplies and meet your teacher. All sessions will begin in St. Ann’s hall. FIRST day of school is Friday, August 9. School begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. and it will be a half day dismissal at 12:30 p.m. Dress uniform is required for all Mass days.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is designed for adults who consciously and freely seek the living God and wish to enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts. It is a series of Rites conducted in the context of learning about the Catholic faith and spiritual formation, through which a person is fully, incorporated into the Body of Christ the Church.

Adults Who Have Not Been Baptized Those who have not been baptized and who wish to enter the Catholic Faith are invited to participate in RCIA.

Adults Who Have Been Baptized Adults who have been baptized and would like to complete their Christian Initiation by preparing for and receiving the sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion are also invited to participate in RCIA. FORMED BY FAITH Formed by Faith is an opportunity and invitation to learn more about the beauty of our Catholic faith and to encounter the person of Christ in His Word and Sacraments. As we grow in relationship with Our Lord, we are

better prepared to respond to our Baptismal call to holiness and discipleship. This program is not only for those seeking to receive Level One Ministry Certification in the Diocese of Tucson, but also for those wishing to learn more about our Catholic faith. Formed by Faith is for all Catholics in all parishes in the Yuma/LaPaz Vicariate. Sessions will be hosted at St. John Neumann Parish on the second Saturday of each month from 8:30am-3:00pm August 2019-March 2020 with the final session on the third Saturday of April 2020. Topics covered include Liturgy and Sacraments, Fundamentals of Sacred Scripture, Foundations of Catholic Theology, Christian Morality, Spirituality and Methodology of Catechesis. Our opening session on August 10, 2019 will be a spiritual mini retreat entitled “In the Image of God” which will be a blend of listening, prayer and reflection. A continental breakfast will be available on retreat day ($5.00 donation is requested) and lunch on your own. Please RSVP by August 7, 2019.
