The Villes Lumière (Light Cities) project, designed and implementedby companies who are Lighting Cluster members (Lyon), havecreated the urban architectural and events lighting of the Urban BestPractices Area. LUCI (Lighting Urban Community International) in an internationalnetwork that brings together cities and professionals engaged inlighting, who conceive lighting design as a major tool for urbandevelopment, with a marked concern for sustainable development.（国际灯光城市协会）是一个国际网络，用来集中城市与从事照明的专业人士并设计灯光作为一项城市发展的主要工具，还带着可持续发展的显著关注。Created in 2002, at the initiative of the City of Lyon, LUCI gathersmore than 90 members together, including nearly 60 cities over fourcontinents and 30 associate members (international companies,lighting designers and architects, universities, independent lightingprofessionals...)创立于2002年，里昂城首创，LUCI聚集超过90位会员，其中有四大洲近60座城市和30位合作成员（国际企业、照明设计师与建筑师、大学、独立照明专业人士......）All cities are experiencing the emergence of new forms of town andchanging lifestyles, but also a serious energy crisis.所有的城市不但面对新式的城市产生、生活模式的发展，而且面对一种巨大的能源危机。The objective of LUCI is to help them to find appropriate responsesthat live up to these challenges:LUCI的目标是对应挑战帮助找到适当的答案：- by using lighting as a tool for development in urban areas,使用灯光照明作为名副其实的城市发展工具；- through the promotion of an urban identity through artistic andtechnical decisions,借由技术与艺术的选择角度提升城市身份，；- by taking into account the environmental issues and sustainabledevelopment.考虑环境与可持续发展的得失。On each of these priorities, LUCI responds to the need for exchangeand expertise.对每个当务之急，LUCI回应必要的专业技术与交流。

The Light Festival, on December the 8th of each year, showcasingthe latest artistic developments and techniques in lighting design,is a popular and family-oriented festival with a colossal success.More than three million visitors have the opportunity to admire thesespectacular creations and to discover Lyon for four days.灯火节，每年12月8日，作为照明创造上更新艺术与技术发展的橱窗，是一个大众的和家庭的节日，其成功是巨大的。在四天中，超过300万参观者有了一个赞赏这些精彩的创造和发现里昂的机会。
