• The Minor in Jazz Studies provides concentrated preparation and credentials for any Kent State student, regardless of major. • For music education majors this in an advantage when applying for teaching positions. • For other music majors and non-music majors, these courses will provide elective credits toward all other degree programs. • Primary faculty for this program is Bobby Selvaggio, Director of Jazz Studies and Christopher Coles. • Other adjunct instructors serve as needed for applied lessons. • The total number of credits for this minor is 21. • Admission to this program is by audition/ permission.
