SPIRITUAL GROWTH ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Prayer for the Soul: Joy of Living Series – “Hall of Faith” study begins Sunday, July 1st at
8:30 am. Led by the Lintons, we will look at the faith of the Old Testament saints as found in
Hebrews 11. Come learn about what faith is, about the object of our faith, and about the
authority and power available to the believer through faith in God.
OUTREACH MINISTRY ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Falmouth Service Center is asking the public to bring all donations of clothing, household
goods and items other than food to our new expanded Thrift Shop location, Hand in Hand,
141 Sandwich Rd., as of Thursday June 21. Donations may be dropped off at the rear of the
building between 10am and 3pm Monday through Saturday. We will no long take these
donations at FSC or Emerald House. We have begun to expand and enlarge our merchandise
categories to include: children’s clothing, men’s casual wear, jewelry, furniture (with pre-
approval), and any type of woman’s wear and accessories. Please call 508-457-0770 with any
questions.
“Change the World” every Sunday by putting you loose change in the offering plate. This is
the last day to collect funds for the Venezuela Project. This project helped to combat poverty
in Venezuela, with a special focus on supplying infant formula. In July and August, we will
be collecting for Heroes in Transition, a local organization helping our veterans.
Service Center Special Collection: Thank you for bringing in healthy beverages for the
month of June. We would like to challenge the congregation to bring in 500 containers of
food during July and August. This time of year, the Falmouth Service Center receives the
least donations. So, let’s show them that the story of Jesus feeding the thousands is possible.
Helping Hands has received a request from the Housing Assistance Corporation. One of their
local shelters needs some backyard cleanup, raking, light tree trimming, window cleaning and
dismantling an old playground set. We are looking for volunteers willing to donate 5 or 6
hours to help with this worthwhile project in late June or early July. If you would like to
participate, please see Henry Brown or call 774-392-1158, or email [email protected]. Te
work won't be hard, but the rewards will be many!
Outreach/Mission Bulletin Board is new and improved. If there's something you don't see
up there, please let Julie Immelt Whelden know. I am very excited to be leading the
Outreach/Mission team and have so many new ideas for the future. Please feel free to give me
your ideas as well. Our outreach to the community and the world are quite large and well
known. Hoping to start new outreach and mission projects very soon to spread our
discipleship. Julie (508) 221-4958 or [email protected]
