Unhelpful thoughts and feelings tend to develop as a reaction to stress, which can become overwhelming and often lead to low mood, anxiety and depression. Mindfulness practises teach us to respond kindly to our stress and establish a new relationship with our problems so that they become more manageable. Course Teacher: Nikki Jackson (BSc, BWY, CoT, HCPC), is a fully accredited Mindfulness Teacher (UK Networks) having trained with Breathworks. She is an Occupational Therapist, who has worked in NHS since 1988 with many stress related health conditions within physical and mental health departments. She has taught yoga and yoga therapy for 25 years, specialising in the use of breath and movement to ease stress and tension in the mind.
