trips to Brussels and Paris. Our alumni support was also of particular importance this year. In 2012 we enjoyed the benefits of having successful and supportive Masters in Management alumni actively contributing to the programme. As a result, we are pleased to see, that despite difficult conditions we have seen a six percentage point increase of students accepting employment with a new employer.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all our employers for their continued support. I hope you enjoy reading this Masters in Management 2012 Employment Report and I look forward to working with you in 2013.

introduction from the Executive director

i am delighted to announce that 95% of our Masters in Management (MiM) 2012 class accepted employment three months post-graduation. this year we have seen a five percentage point increase in students accepting roles within corporate sectors and a particular increase in the media and entertainment field. We have also seen a further five percentage point increase in students accepting roles in consulting which continues to be our most popular sector.

the Masters in Management 2012 class is our largest class to date, comprising 144 students who come from 38 countries and speak 48 languages. it is fantastic to see that since the programme launch in 2009 it continues to go from strength-to-strength attracting students who represent the best of the graduate market. Our 2012 class alone includes two professional water polo players, an Oxford oarswoman, a student researcher in molecular neuroscience, a concertmaster…the list goes on!

In an increasingly crowded job market, it can be hard to stand out from the crowd. This is why we work in close partnership with employers, our alumni and the wider School community to ensure our Masters in Management graduates leave with the key leadership skills, business knowledge and global perspectives to excel. Over the course of 2012 we also worked to develop our careers programme, including Career Week, to ensure our graduates balance theory with skills and practice, and have the opportunity to meet with potential employers.

Our presence in the international market grew through the introduction of an additional Global Immersion trip in partnership with Stockholm School of Economics. This complements our existing partnership with IE Business School in Madrid and in 2013 we will be adding two additional
