If the MH Model

provides the right

support…

…then participating

organizations will change

how they deliver care…

…and beneficiaries will

reduce their risk of heart

attack & stroke

The MH Model aims to reduce the incidence of first-time heart attacks and

strokes among high-risk beneficiaries by 7% within five years.

The MH Model is testing a hypothesis of population-based preventive health care:

Answers to Questions You’ve Asked -Randomization

Question Answer

I have not received any information on

randomization. Did I miss something?

• Randomization packets were sent out on June 24

from the MHModel mailbox.

• Please check your organization’s POCs, and then

contact the HelpDesk if they did not receive a

randomization email.

Is it possible to switch groups - from

Intervention to Control, or from Control to

Intervention?

• No. We have carefully randomized practices

between the two groups.

• Any changes would threaten the integrity of the

model's design and subsequent evaluation.

• Your onboarding packet explains further details

about randomization and the Model design.
