Adjectives must agree with the noun that they are describing. You can make an adjective feminine by usually adding an “e” to its masculine form. When the adjective already ends with an “e” in the masculine, then there is no need to
add another “e” in the feminine form. To make an adjective plural, you just add an “s” to it and if the adjective is feminine
and plural, then you will need to add “es” to it to make it feminine-plural.

Adverbs
Adverbs in French as in English modify a verb. They are as easy to make as they are in English and are based on the adjective form.
1. Take your adjective in the feminine form Exemple : heureux (m) heureuse ( happy )
2. Add “ment” Exemple : heureuse + ment = heureusement ( happily / fortunately)
Exemples : lentement slowly - Le train roule lentement à la gare. rapidement quickly - Il marche rapidement quand il va à l’école. doucement quietly – Les filles parlent doucement dans la bibliothèque.
3. Adjectives ending in “ent” will have adverbs ending in “emment”
évident – évidemment obviously
4. Adjectives ending in “ant” will have adverbs ending in “amment”
constant – constamment constantly
Position of adverb :
The best place for the adverb in French is usually after the verb. However, some adverbs can be best placed at the beginning of the sentence or straight after a phrase for instance if it benefits the balance of the sentence.
Ex: La maison est simplement décorée. Quelquefois, c’était le grand frère qui rangeait les jouets. Je suis allé à l’école avec mon frère très souvent pendant les vacances parce que nous voulions jouer sur les terrains de rugby.
Attention! If the adjective ends with an “e” or any vowel in the masculine form, then the masculine form will be used.
There are of course lots of other irregular adverbs, such as:
bien well vite quicklymal badly dur hard souvent often même even quelquefois sometimes toujours alwaysde temps en temps from time to time
