Where We’re Headed

Support Services

PURPOSE: Provides support services across MCiS management areas and ensures MCiS mission assurance, including compliance with information assurance requirements, enterprise governance, and resource management activities

SELECTED SERVICES

- Liaise with MCiS customers (e.g., Air Force,Army, Navy, Marines, Surgeons General)

- Provide security for all MCiS systems

- Manage quality improvement and risk management functions

- Manage human and financial resources

Cyberinfrastructure Engineering

PURPOSE: Provides oversight for all MHS cyberinfrastructure enhancements,

from requirements definition through design and testing of new capabilities, to

ensure compliance with MHS infrastructure standards and alignment with the

MHS architecture strategy.

Implementation & Transition

PURPOSE: Develop, test and deploy information technology infrastructure solutions for Military Health System customers

Sustainment Operations

PURPOSE: Provides oversight for fielding services into the production environment. Local area network/wireless local area network backbones are installed in military treatment facilities worldwide to support the fielding of MHS centrally managed applications.
