    Denmark is showing the way

    6

DK is leading within energy profitability large scale Back in 2001 the government stopped subsidizing solarthermal energy large scale.

Today solar thermal is competitive without the aid ofsubsidies.

    Status 2011

Until 2011 100.000 m of solar thermal energy were

installed in Denmark. For the coming 2 years 200.000 m2 will be installed.

    Heating Plan Denmark 2010

    2010-2020:

Expansion with 4 mio.m large scale.

    2020-2030:

Expansion with up to 8 mio. m large scale.

Rational for adopting Solar District Heating inMongolia Contribution to Urban EnvironmeImprovement

The heat supply in Mongolia is mainly provided from combined heat aplants and heat-only boilers using coal.

The air quality is dangerously bad - Ulaanbaatar is becoming the worpolluted city.

In UB, annual average particulate matter concentrations have been recorhigh as 279, which is 14 times higher than the WHOs recommendation.
