Midwest Rugby Players, Officials and Supporters,Thank you for coming and welcome to Thornley Fields at The Chicago Blaze Rugby Complex. This weekend brings together the best rugby teams in the Midwest, all competing for the championship trophy and hoping to qualify for the National Championship.These teams consist of some of the most elite amateur athletes in America whose intensetraining has brought them to this point.Rugby is considered one of the most unique athletic competitions there is.It is enjoyed by a worldwide audience that numbers in the tens of millions. Its playersdemonstrate a respect for the game and for their opponent not seen in any other sport.It is truly a bond that unites and elevates the players and fans above all others.This level of sportsmanship is what makes us all so proud to say that we are a part ofthis game.The Chicago Blaze Men's Rugby Club, Blaze Fossils Old Boys and Blaze H.S. Academy would like to thank the Midwest Union for allowing us to showcase our beautiful facilitiesas we welcome the construction of our new clubhouse and locker rooms later this month.I want to personally wish all the players good luck and safe travels to and from our pitch.
