1. HOW OFTEN DO YOU BUY FRUIT? My mom buys fruit about once a week but more if there are great sales.
2. HOW MANY PEOPLE IS SHE BUYING FRUIT FOR? WHAT IS THE AVERAGE SHE WOULD SPEND? 4 people. She would spend around $10-20.
3. WHICH GROCERY STORE OR FARMER’S MARKET DO YOU FREQUENT THEM MOST? Local markets and Costco.
4. WHY DO YOU GO TO THIS STORE OR MARKET? For the convenience, selection and price.
5. DO YOU HAVE A HOME GARDEN? IF YOU DO, WHAT DO YOU GROW? DO YOU SHARE WHAT YOU GROW? No, ain’t about that farmer life.
6. WOULD YOU EAT FRUITS GROWING IN A PUBLIC AREA LIKE THE PARK OR A RANDOM SIDEWALK? HAVE YOU DONE IT BEFORE? Sure, it’s free. I have not done it before. There are no fruit trees around me.
7. WOULD YOU EAT FRUIT FROM A COMMUNITY GARDEN? Yes.
8. WHAT MODE OF TRANSPORTATION DO YOU USE TO GET TO THE STORE OR MARKET? I walk most of the time.
9. WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF FRUIT TREES AS HIGH, MEDIUM OR LOW? Medium. I have seen them before and could identify banana tree very well based on its size and
leaves.
10. WHAT AREA DO YOU LIVE IN? Downtown Los Angeles.
11. WHAT FRUITS DO YOU LIKE? WHAT FRUITS DO YOU EAT THE MOST? All kinds. I don’t discriminate against my fruits, but I do like tropical fruits and watermelon a little bit more than others. I eat apple, oranges and banana the most because they are more affordable and available year round.

4. WHY DO YOU GO TO THIS STORE OR MARKET? The prices are cheap and there is a good selection of fresh fruit.
5. DO YOU HAVE A HOME GARDEN? IF YOU DO, WHAT DO YOU GROW? DO YOU SHARE WHAT YOU GROW? Yes, I have a few potted plants. I grow aloe and green onions. I don’t share what I grow. My
friends have their own gardens.
