See the above calendar as a reminder of the day your child’s activity is running. It is important that students are picked up at 4:00 p.m. A staff member will wait until students participating in Excels are picked up or a note is sent in allowing the student to walk or ride their bikes home. As such, any student that is repeatedly not picked up by 4:15 p.m. may not be able to continue to participate in their activity.

End of The Year Activities The Grade 7 Cedardale and Grade 8 Canobie Lake field trips are scheduled for Monday, June 12, 2017.

National Junior Honor Society National Junior Honor Society Induction is scheduled for Monday, June 5th at 6:00 p.m. Letters of invitation will be mailed home on or before Monday, May 22nd.

Three Last Days of School The Grade 8 Promotion Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 16th at 8:30 a.m. in the Field House. The three final days of school for students, Friday, June 16th, Monday, June 19th and Tuesday, June 20th, are early dismissal days at 11:30 a.m.

For Planning Purposes: Promotion Ceremony The promotion ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 16th at 8:30 a.m. in the Field House. Many students wish to leave with their parents immediately following the ceremony. You may take your child with you without dismissing them through the office that day. If you need to arrange an early drop off for your young child at one of the elementary schools, please contact the principal. Each principal is willing to help accommodate parents to ensure you may arrive at Masco by 8:30 a.m. but the elementary principal needs to hear from you to make sure the proper arrangements may be put in place for that morning. As you begin to shop with your child, if he/she needs a new outfit for the promotion ceremony, we thought a few guidelines would be helpful. We ask that students do not wear jeans, casual beach type shorts, or t-shirts. Boys frequently wear khaki pants or dress shorts with a shirt and tie, however, many boys will also wear a golf shirt. Girls wear a nice skirt and shirt, dress pants and a shirt or sundress. We will relax the requirements on straps so that girls may wear thin straps or strapless sundresses, but will enforce, and ask you to help us enforce, that any skirt or dress is the appropriate length and fit. Thank you in advance for assisting us to make this important event a great day for everyone.

When teams all record pages read, amazing page number totals result. Congratulations to the teams who submitted pages this week, your page totals are moving us towards our goal! Please continue to encourage your students to enter pages read from their textbooks, short stories, or any other reading you do as a class. These figures represent the numbers logged in by 3:00 PM Thursday, May 11, 2017.
