MICROWAVE POWER MODULES

L-3 Electron Devices is the industry leader in

Microwave Power Modules (MPMs), having delivered

thousands of them for use in some of the aerospace

and defense industry’s most highly effective platforms.

A complete microwave amplifier, L-3 Electron Devices’

MPMs typically include a miniature helix Traveling

Wave Tube (TWT), a Solid-State A mplifier (SSA) driver

and a miniature power supply.

Advancements in MPMs have led to the development

of the NanoMPM® family of products. With a minimum

of 40 watts in X/Ku-Band and Ka-Band, these MPMs

are well-suited for airborne or ground applications

where size and weight are prime considerations. MPMs

are commonly used in manned and unmanned aerial

vehicles, data links, radar and ECM systems, portable

and mobile SATCOM systems, and point-to-point

communications.

• Can be optimized for narrow-band applications

• RF output power of up to 200 watts

• Integral equalizer or linearizer available on select models

• 270 VDC, 28 VDC or 115 VAC 3-phase prime power

• Pulse modulator included on all models

• Package size as small as 17 cubic inches

• Optional forced-air heat exchanger

• Can be power-combined
