Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 III

Overview: Microsoft PowerPoint is a presentation program by Microsoft. It is part of the Microsoft Office 2010

suite, and runs on Microsoft Windowsoperating system.PowerPoint is used as a visual aid by

businesses, educators, students, and trainers.

1. PowerPoint Media Tool

o Creating a Photo Album Open a new blank presentation, click the Insert tab, and then click Photo Album in the Images Group.

Click File/Disk open the My Album Folder

Press Ctrl+A to select all the pictures in the folder then click Insert.

Use the Move up arrow to reposition Loch Lomand 2007 so that it is the first picture in the list. Continue using the Move up arrow and Move down arrow to reposition each picture by image number and by the year.

Press and hold Ctrl to select multiple images while clicking, to move them as a group, when images are in the correct order click Create.

o Modify Contrast and Brightness

Click on the drop down arrow on Photo Album from the Insert tab

Select Isle of Skye 04 2008 from the album list, then click the Increase Contrast button 4 times and

Increase Brightness button 2 times. The adjusted image can be viewed in the Preview Window, if you

had changed the brightness only, the image would be washed out.

o Setting Picture Layout

Click the Picture Layout Arrow in the Album Layout section of the Photo Album dialog box, then select 4 Pictures, click the Captions check box below Picture Options section.

o Selecting Frame Shape

Click the Frame shape arrow in the album Layout section select Simple Frame, White and then click Update.

o Edit Album Settings & Apply Theme

Click the Insert tab, click the Photo Album Arrow in the images group, and then select Edit Photo Album,

Click the Picture layout arrow, and then select 1 picture

Click the Frame shape arrow and then select Center Shadow Rectangle

In the Themes section click Browse,

Navigate to the location where your Microsoft Document themes are located click Paper, and then click Select to apply the theme to the presentation

Click Update, Save and Close as Picture Perfect.

2. Converting PowerPoint Presentations

o Convert Existing or New PowerPoint Presentation to PDF/XPS Microsoft PowerPoint allows the user to easily convert a PowerPoint Presentation to a PDF/XPS without

any additional software required.

Step 1 - Open the Microsoft PowerPoint presentation file that you would like to convert PDF / XPS. Make

sure that it is completely finished and free of errors.

Step 2 - Click on the File tab

Step 3 –Select the Save & Send option to view File Types list then Click "Create a PDF/XPS Document”.

Step 4 - Specify the location for your converted PDF /XPS, then click Publish.

o Convert Existing or New PowerPoint Presentation to Video Microsoft PowerPoint allows the user to easily convert a PowerPoint Presentation to video without any

additional software required.

Step 1 - Open the Microsoft PowerPoint presentation file that you would like to convert to video. Make sure

that it is completely finished and free of errors.

Step 2 - Click on the File tab

Step 3 –Select the Save & Send option to view File Types list then Click "Create a Video”.

Step 4 – Select the Create Video Icon.
