When we began selling personal computers over 35 years ago, we did so with the belief that
information technology (IT) would change the world, and our experience since then has only
reinforced this belief. We hadn’t anticipated how profound those changes would be.
We launched our first professional business centers in 1978 to service the IT needs of businesses
and introduced a franchise model through which we established a network of computer resellers
across Canada during the early to mid 1980’s. With the support of leading IT vendors such as
Apple, Compaq, HP, IBM, and Microsoft, we successfully expanded our franchise network across the
country throughout the late 1980’s and 1990’s. Today, we have franchises operating from coast to
coast with combined annual sales of close to half a billion dollars.
Our mission has evolved throughout the years, although we have remained true to our founding
principles. Today, our mission is to help our franchisees achieve a leadership position among IT
solution providers in their markets.
Over the last 35 years we have seen many changes within our industry and the pace of change is
