There were 170 LUST Closure Reports submitted in FY 2016; a total of 100 approvals occurred, including 36 approved after audit and 64 approved by operation of law without audit under Part213. There were 6 LUST Closure Reports submitted and denied by the DEQ due to failure to meet the statutory requirements for closure, and 11 were submitted without sufficient information to make a decision. A total of 53 Closure Reports are pending decisions. STATE OF MI CHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY L ANS ING There were zero contested case hearings held pursuant to Section 21332 of Part 213. There were also no issues needing resolution by the response activity review panel pursuant to Section 20114e of Part 201 , Environmental Remediation, of the NREPA.
