INTRODUCTIONOn a personal level, teacher mentors or leaders shouldhave the ability to lead by example, take an approach toproblem-solving, be skilled at developing positiveinterpersonal relationships, have an enthusiasm for workand the ability to encourage and listen to others. Withinthe school environment, teachers leaders should be ableand willing to mentor less experienced teachers, speak outin a positive way about challenges the school may face andpromote positive solutions. A teacher leader also has anobligation to the community to exhibit community activismin working to better the lives of students and families, byencouraging positive feedback but also advocating forresources for indigent or dysfunctional families. My presentation seeks to showcase the positive teacherleadership abilities, strengths and qualifications that Ipossess and the comfort ability in mentoring others . 4.
