Dear friends,

We offer our annual report for fiscal year 2012 with a sincere thank you. As we close out the year, we are pleased

and grateful to report that we are in a strong and stable financial position. This enables us to shine the spotlight

on lung cancer and other lung diseases through increased research funding to find better treatments and, ulti-

mately cures. Additionally, we continue to provide education and services to those in need, advocate for clean air,

support tobacco-free campus and housing initiatives and expand the services offered by the Lung HelpLine. None

of this would be possible without your loyal and generous support.

With your help, we have made significant progress in the fight against lung disease, impacting more than 2 million

people throughout the Upper Midwest. In fact, our seven-state region’s strong revenue generation enables us to

deliver more lung health services than any other region in the country. Thank YOU for making it happen.

While our focus is on our life-saving mission, we are also proud of our stewardship of your dollars. We take

your support seriously – it is our lifeline to helping others – and we invest 88 cents of every dollar into services,

education and research. Additionally, we have been awarded the maximum four-star Charity Navigator rating for

the third year in a row. Charity Navigator is the leading nonprofit watchdog and rates charities based on their

financial accountability and transparency.

As we move into a new year, our goals include funding additional research, fighting for healthy air, indoors and out,

helping thousands quit smoking and continuing to raise awareness around lung cancer and the need for a cure.

Thank you for believing in our mission and transforming that belief into reality with your solid financial support.

Thank you for supporting our Fight for Air.
